Online casino Mansion.com has signed a new deal with English Premiership League side AFC Bournemouth to become the club’s first-ever sleeve sponsor. The new licensing agreement means the Mansion logo will appear on the left sleeve of AFC Bournemouth’s red and black striped home kit, as well as the black and florescent green third kit.
For the sky-blue away kit, Mansion has secured a sleeve placement for another of its brands, Casino.com. The deal was completed in time for the Mansion logo to be on the strip for the first time as the Cherries played host to Manchester City in the Premier League on August 26. AFC Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake commented on the new deal:
"I am delighted to further expand our partnership with Mansion,” he said. “The club is growing quickly and now has a huge reach, being in our third season in the Premier League. Mansion can capitalise on that, as well as supporting the club to raise our profile in territories such as Asia. Therefore, it is a deal which is very beneficial for both parties and I look forward to continuing to work with Mansion."
Mansion is also enthusiastic about the sleeve sponsorship. Karel Manasco, CEO of the Mansion Group, said:
"We are delighted to continue what has been an exciting journey and terrific partnership. The past two years have forged a strong bond between club and brand and we are delighted to continue this journey. Together, anything is possible."
The sleeve sponsorship marks a continuation of a partnership that has been in place during the last two seasons of the English Premier League. Mansion is the official sponsor of the AFC Bournemouth team strip through the M88 casino label, which appears on front and centre of all the Cherries’ kits.
The deal was renewed in July 2017 for two more years, with M88 replacing the Mansion.com brand, which had been in place since the 2015-2016 season. The M88 brand is a bold choice for both the English club and the casino, as it is an online site that only accepts players from South-East Asian countries such as China, Japan, Vietnam and Indonesia.
However, it is the hope of both sides of the partnership that the deal will help to drive the team’s brand recognition and casino portfolio in these regions. As part of the shirt sponsorship, M88 casino will create exclusive content for the club’s fans, as well as sponsor live events and exclusive competitions. Blake praised the M88 brand, saying:
"We are delighted to welcome M88 as the club’s official shirt sponsor. M88 is a partner that shares our ambition and aspirations as we look to grow in a new market and enhance our presence in Asia."
The change to M88 and the addition of the sleeve sponsor are not the only alterations to AFC Bournemouth’s kit. The Cherries signed a brand-new deal with sports manufacturer Umbro back in April to supply the new kit, replacing the previous shirt designer JD Sports.
The south-coast team signed a five-year deal with Umbro, unveiling the partnership with a two-metre high sand sculpture of both their logos at AFC Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium. They join a growing roster of EPL clubs that Umbro stitches kits for, including Everton, Hull and West Ham.
Blake heralded the manufacturing news as ‘an exciting and important deal’, going on to say that:
"AFC Bournemouth is a forward-thinking, progressive club and our new partnership with Umbro, which is the biggest kit contract in our history, is the perfect example of that. Umbro are known for producing high-quality kits for both international and domestic sides, and our supporters can look forward to unique designs which have been created specifically with them in mind."
Anthony Little, Umbro’s managing director, added:
"We’re delighted that AFC Bournemouth will be wearing the famous double diamond from the start of next season. They are an exciting club who have really made a mark on the Premier League over the last two seasons. I’m sure fans will love the bespoke kits we’ve created in partnership with the club, and we’re all looking forward to seeing them being worn by fans and players in the coming months."
Although the Cherries have yet to pick up a Premier League point in their new kit, they did beat Birmingham 2-1 away in the second round of the EFL Cup, with goals from Ryan Fraser and Marc Pugh. Visit Mansion Casino today and join using a generous welcome bonus!
