Masters Odds And Tips: Rahm Favourite To Land First Green Jacket
Masters Golf Tips:
- Back Brooks Koepka each-way to win The Masters at 20/1 with Unibet
- Back Xander Schauffele each-way to win The Masters at 22/1 with bet365
The 2022 Masters takes place between Thursday 7 April - Sunday 10 April, with Augusta National hosting the most iconic golf tournament in the world and the best betting sites have their odds ready for big tee-off.
The leading players on the planet will descend on Georgia to compete in the first major of the calendar year, with rumours abounding that Tiger Woods will be lining up to make this his comeback event.
UK bookmakers are getting their ducks in-a-row with a host of US Masters betting markets on offer.
You can currently back any player at double figure odds to be in the Butler Cabin on Sunday exchanging the obligatory small talk before adorning a Green Jacket and getting the chance to choose a winner’s menu 12 months down the line.
Can Rahm Break His Duck At Augusta?
Jon Rahm (11/1) is the favourite to win the 2022 Masters and it’s easy to see why golf betting sites want to keep the Spaniard onside.
The 27-year-old has a major under his belt after winning the 2021 US Open, while we know that he loves playing at Augusta and that is illustrated by his recent track record at this fiendish course.
Indeed, Rahm has posted a top-10 finish in each of the previous four years, finishing fourth in 2018 before T9th, T7th and T5th in the ensuing renewals.
It was especially notable the way that the world number two finished with a 66 last April and this golfer is number one for ball striking and greens hit this year.
Smith Looking To Go One Better Than 2020
Many occasional golf punters might not be too familiar with Cameron Smith, although the laidback Australian recently claimed a victory in The Players’ Championship and has to be regarded as a leading contender at Augusta.
Like Rahm, the 28-year-old has a brilliant Masters record and has posted three top-10 finishes in the past four years. He can found in the market at 16/1 with bet365.
Of greater concern might be his performance in other major championships where his only notable achievement was tied fourth in 2015 US Open.
There’s an argument that a short-hitting player such as this might need to sink a lot of putts in order to be in contention, although he did make history when scoring four sub-70 rounds in the 2020 renewal.
Thomas, Scheffler And Johnson Lead American Charge
Justin Thomas (12/1) has a big chance of going close in the 2022 Masters, with the 28-year-old having been in major contention in 2020 and trading as favourite at various stages before succumbing to Dustin Johnson.
The latter is clearly someone who can perform well around Augusta, with that recent victory very much setting him up for a challenge.
Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Phil Mickelson and Bubba Watson all won their second Green Jacket two years after their initial success and Johnson did manage the course record when winning triumphantly 18 months ago.
Although, Scottie Scheffler is the big market mover out of all the Americans and is available at 16/1 with BetVictor.
Three wins have been recorded in the past two months and that’s a staggering statistic given how competitive elite professional golf happens to be.
Some will remember Scheffler’s heroics in the recent Ryder Cup, but he is now the new world number one and determined to put on a strong showing at Augusta.
Scheffler has only played twice at Augusta, with the 25-year-old coming to a difficult course enjoying a ridiculously hot streak. However, he may need to post a top-10 finish or two before potentially climbing the proverbial greasy pole to land a first major.

Koepka, Spieth And McIlroy Trading At Bigger Prices
A few years ago, Brooks Koepka, Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy would have been trading as favourites to win the Masters, although the trio have been leapfrogged in the betting by several of their peers.
It’s not to say that they can’t compete at Augusta, although it would certainly be a surprise if Rory made his first appearance at Butler’s Cabin.
The Northern Irishman remains one of the world’s best players, but his claims of winning a Green Jacket have been diminished by inconsistent form allied to the fact that the benchmark gets higher and higher.
He’s been chasing this final leg of a career Grand Slam since 2014 and perhaps it will continue to elude him, that’s why he is 20/1 with William Hill.
As for Koepka, this is another player who could still achieve a career Grand Slam, with this the only American major that he hasn’t won.
We can largely ignore his missed cut 12 months ago when the Ryder Cup hero wasn’t fit to play, having previously fared well and he managed a runner-up performance in the 2019 Masters before seventh in the rearranged 2020 edition.
Jordan Spieth (22/1) is always an exciting player to follow at the Masters, and this is someone with a ridiculous record at the Georgia course - even though he’s only won one Green Jacket.
That success came in 2015 and he’s also achieved two second-placed finishes along with being third on two occasions.
Who Are The Best 2022 Masters Betting Tips?
Backing Brooks Koepka each-way at 20/1 with Unibet seems an absolute no-brainer, especially with some betting sites offering so many places on the outright betting market.
The American has won four major championships, having won the US Open and PGA Championship in consecutive years. It now appears that he’s ready to start adding to his tally.
Koepka has enough Masters experience, having played at Augusta National since 2015 and his missed cut last year simply means that we can back a fit golfer at a bigger price, with his preparation having gone well for this tournament. His steely resolve makes him an attractive punting proposition.
Ideally, you might want to back a few golfers to get a better run for your money and one for the shortlist is Xander Schauffele (22/1) who seems to love playing this course more than most.
The American has been tied second and tied third in the previous three renewals and he has also been knocking on the door in recent US Opens.
This is also a player that has an Olympic gold medal to his name and will have learnt plenty from that experience on the final day last year when he found the water when bang in contention.
The big question is whether Xander can cast off his bridesmaid’s tag and play the right shots when it really counts.
