BetMGM & Evolution Launch Live Casino in New Jersey

BetMGM on Monday announced the launch of a new Live Casino offering in New Jersey in partnership with Evolution.

This marks Evolution’s fifth deal in about a month in the U.S. as it announced deals with William Hill (Oct. 7), Wynn (Oct. 16), Rush Street Interactive (Oct. 21) and FanDuel (Nov. 4).

BetMGM, the joint venture between GVC Holdings and MGM Resorts, is the first offer to content from both Ezugi and Evolution — the two live casino providers that are available in the state, according to a news release. Evolution also has games available through Borgata Casino and PartyCasino.

“These launches are a powerful demonstration of how GVC has helped BetMGM secure a market leading position in the U.S,” Colin Cole-Johnson, director of gaming product for GVC, said in a news release. “We are incredibly excited by the opportunity ahead of us as we expand our offering with new products and new states.”

In just the first week of its launch, Evolution generated a third of total Live Casino stakes in New Jersey with BetMGM seeing revenues increase by 30% per month, the release said.

GVC also launched and integrated 20 exclusive online slot games for BetMGM with Ainsworth in New Jersey, including popular land-based slot titles, such as Mustang Money and Eagle Bucks.

“The GVC platform with its breadth of new and exclusive content, supported by sophisticated marketing and customer engagement tools, has established BetMGM as the clear market leader in iGaming in New Jersey,” said Matt Sunderland, BetMGM’s vice president of gaming. “These same attributes put us in pole position to deliver a compelling customer offer which will establish us as a leader as new markets open up on a state by state basis.”

Other Evolution Deals

Online casino gaming is legal in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and West Virginia. Michigan has legalized online casinos with a target launch date of later this month.

Last week, FanDuel and Evolution announced a deal that will allow FanDuel to expand its Live Casino offering in the U.S. market. Evolution Live Casino games will be added to FanDuel’s existing casino product offering, initially from Evolution’s Pennsylvania studio in Philadelphia.

On Oct. 21, Rush Street Interactive, which operates BetRivers and, announced it will launch a Live Dealer Casino in Pennsylvania powered by Evolution. Evolution’s live dealer product will appear on Rush Street’s online casino sites.

On Oct. 16, Evolution announced an agreement to partner with Wynn Sports Interactive and offer live casino content and services for the U.S. market. The partnership means Wynn it will offer Evolution’s live games initially in New Jersey.

Evolution also recently announced a deal with William Hill to supply live casino content and services across the U.S., including Michigan, plus Evolution has deals in Michigan with PointsBet and MGM. Michigan is in the process of launching online sports betting and casino this month.
