Michigan Live Dealer Options Grow with New Evolution Deal
Evolution Gaming has entered into another partnership in Michigan.
After previously securing deals in Michigan with PointsBet and BetMGM, the live casino company reached an agreement with William Hill to supply live casino content and services across the U.S., including Michigan.
Michigan is in the process of setting online casino and online sports betting regulations with the hope of launching in late fall.
The live casino rollout for William Hill will begin in New Jersey with additional states to follow.
“We are very proud to have been selected by William Hill US,” Johan Nordstrom, chief executive officer Malta and chief commercial officer at Evolution, said in a news release. “Our live casino solutions have been instrumental in helping to make William Hill’s Live Casino a stand-out offering in regulated European markets. We very much look forward to achieving the same high levels of success for William Hill in the United States.”
Evolution’s library of live dealer games includes the familiar casino games such as blackjack, roulette and baccarat. The company also features other well-known game show-style options such as Monopoly, Deal or No Deal and Crazy Time.
Live online casino games are run by real dealers in a similar way that land-based casinos operate. Dealers will deal a hand of blackjack as if you were sitting at a table, or handle the roulette wheel to determine the result of each spin.
All of the gaming action is live streamed from studios straight to your mobile devices or computers. With the current coronavirus pandemic, live dealer games will be a viable option for those seeking a similar experience to sitting in a casino, but with the safety and comfort from playing at home.
William Hill in Michigan
William Hill recently launched the Onyx Sportsbook at Turtle Creek Casino near Traverse City. The new sportsbook also features a satellite location with betting kiosks at Leelanau Sands Casino in Peshawbestown. The debut of the sportsbooks was possible for William Hill through a partnership with the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians.
“Today’s grand opening at Turtle Creek Casino officially marks the 13th state where William Hill now offers sports betting,” Dan Shapiro, vice president of Strategy and Business Development for William Hill, said in a news release at the time of the sportsbook’s launch. “This is just the beginning of our partnership with the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians, with plans to launch mobile sports betting and iCasino gaming throughout Michigan as soon as permitted. This is an exciting way to start the NFL season, and we know the Onyx Sports Book by William Hill will be the new game-day location for sports fans in Northern Michigan.”
