Football To The Rescue?

Mississippi did see its football numbers go up and it should see a bigger increase in September with NFL betting really kicking in and college football going with a full schedule.

Before the July numbers fell off, basketball, with the NBA playoffs, brought in about $19.5 million in handle in June, bolstered by the NBA Finals. In August, basketball betting brought in $629,459.

Slots, Table Games Also Drop

Revenue for the slots and table games, which had increased in July from June, dropped in August as well.

Slots revenue was $1.998 billion and that was down from the $2.560 billion in July.

August table games revenue was $151.0 million, down from July’s $188.6 million.
