Washington Capitals Partner With Caesars For Jersey Logo

The Washington Capitals and Caesars Entertainment Inc. have agreed to a new multi-year sports betting deal. As part of the agreement, the Caesars Sportsbook logo will be on the Capitals home and third jerseys worn for games at the Capital One Arena, beginning with the 2022-23 NHL season.

The announcement makes the Capitals the first team to announce an agreement in the new NHL’s jersey advertising program.

This is likely the first of many deals sportsbooks make with professional sports franchises.

The 3 x 3.5 Caesars Sportsbook logo will be positioned in the upper right chest area of the jersey. In addition to the new jersey patch, Caesars Sportsbook is expanding its relationship with the Capitals with more gaming, casino and Caesars Rewards programming elements. There will be a Caesars hospitality space and VIP seating at Capital One Arena.

The NHL’s jersey advertising program begins in 2022-23 and permits up to two jersey sponsors per team. The Capitals plan to announce their away jersey sponsor at a later date.

Caesars Sportsbook at Capital One Arena

The Caesars Sportsbook debuted at Captial One Arena in May 2021. It became the first sports betting venue to open with a U.S. professional sports facility.

The sportsbook has two stories, totaling 18,000 square feet, with 17 betting windows and 12 self-service betting kiosks. There is also Verizon 5G wi-fi capability, enabling fans to place bets from their mobile devices.

Caps outlook

The Capitals open the 2021-22 preseason against the Boston Bruins at 5 p.m. on Sept. 26 at Capital One Arena.

Washington begins the regular season with a home game against the New York Rangers at 7:30 p.m ET on Oct. 13.

Washington is between +2500 and +3000 in Futures NHL betting markets to win the 2022 Stanley Cup.
