WSOP Online Super Circuit Back This Week With $1M Guaranteed

The latest World Series of Poker event for online players takes place starting this week with $1 million in guaranteed prizes.
The WSOP Circuit Super Series tournament is open to players at New Jersey’s top online poker sites as well as folks in Nevada. It begins Friday and concludes on Dec. 14.
Buy-ins range from $215 to $1,000 and the top prize for a single event is the $200,000 No Limit Hold’Em 8-Max main event on Dec. 13.
The Super Series event will run concurrently with the WSOP’s most prestigious tournament, the Main Event. That event, also for New Jersey and Nevada players, will begin Dec. 13 online then winnow down to nine players who will be invited to a live table in Las Vegas om Dec. 28. International players can also play in their own Main Event eliminators starting on Nov. 29 at GGPoker.com; the U.S. winner will face the international winner one-on-one on Dec. 30 in Las Vegas to crown the WSOP champion.

WPT Back With Online, Live Events
The World Poker Tour is also putting on a big online event for late 2020 and plans to hold a live, in-person event in January 2021 in Hollywood, Florida.
The WPT’s first Main Tour online event in New Jersey, according to a news release, is on the partypoker US network and runs from Dec. 27-29. There is a $1 million guarantee and the Dec. 29 main event with be live streamed. Buy-ins for qualifying satellite events start as low as $5 but the three-day Main Event has a $3,500 buy-in.
Entrants must physically be in New Jersey to play and can use online poker sites BorgataPoker.com, BetMGMPoker.com or NJ.PartyPoker.com.
The WPT Lucky Hearts open at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, about 25 miles north of Miami, is set for a five-day Main Event starting Jan. 17 with qualifiers beginning Jan. 7. It’s set to be the first major in-person WPT event since the coronavirus pandemic hit America in March. Health, safety and cleaning protocols will be in place for the $3,500 buy-in event.
