Spring a Busy Online Poker Season

This spring has been a jam-packed season for online poker.

The Spring Online Championships comes right on the heels of the WSOP’s inaugural spring Online Super Circuit tournament, which ended March 31. Champie Douglas won the Main Event and earned $130,410, his first Circuit ring and a spot in the Global Casino Championship later this year. The Online Super Circuit event offered $1.2 million.

PokerStars online events starting in April include the New Jersey Spring Championship of Online Poker and the Pennsylvania SCOOP. PokerStars also launched an online Bounty Builder progressive knockout event format.

And the World Poker Tour announced its inaugural online poker series in conjunction with Partypoker. That event runs May 10-26 and offers $5 million guaranteed.
