Owned by Co-Gaming Limited, ComeOn! Sports has been around since 2010, which is a long time in the land of sports betting. In that time, they’ve developed a full-service gambling offering that includes sports betting and online casino operations.
ComeOn! Sports is a trusted site which is licensed with the Malta Gaming Authority and follows New Zealand Gambling Commission guidelines. While it mainly focuses its offerings on the Scandanavian market, there is also plenty for Kiwi punters to have a crack at.
Let’s take a look at ComeOn! Sports, and see if it’s worth having a look at for Kiwi sports betting fans.
|Excellent betting features||No 24/7 support|
|In-play/live betting and data is great on the big games|
First things first, we better clear up some confusion here. On the actual website, ComeOn! Sports will say the welcome bonus is a “100% welcome bonus up to €25”. The key bit there of course is the Euro sign — however, when you go to deposit, the currency is in New Zealand dollars. Keep that in mind when reading the rest of this section!
There is plenty of competition out there in the wide world of sports betting, and so there is usually a little offer on the table to make you want to sign up with a new site. ComeOn! Sports are no different, as they offer you a cheeky freebie if you take them up on their welcome bonus offer.
If you deposit a minimum of NZ$20 (not Euro), they will match you 100% up to NZ$40. So that means if you deposit NZ$20, they’ll match you with NZ$20 in free bets. Deposit NZ$30, get NZ$30. The maximum in free bets you can get is NZ$40, so if you deposit more than NZ$40, you’ll get a max of NZ$40 in free bets — i.e. if you deposit NZ$50, you’ll only get NZ$40 in free bets. Got it? Good!
Okay, so as always, sports betting sites can’t just give away free bets willy nilly; otherwise, people would just cash out their betting wallet and take off with the free money. For this reason, there are a few bits of small print to cover their bums. We had a look at the details, and this is the gist of it:
● The minimum deposit for the welcome bonus is NZ$20.
● The maximum deposit for the welcome bonus is NZ$40.
● The welcome bonus can be used in the sports betting area or the casino area.
● You must use the welcome bonus within 30 days of receiving it.
● Certain casino games are excluded.
● The maximum bet allowed when using the bonus balance in the casino is €8.00 (about NZ$14) per spin or hand.
● The wagering amount for the welcome bonus is 6x in the sports betting area, and must be used on bets paying at least $2.00.
● The wagering amount for the welcome bonus in the casino is 35x.
● A maximum of two bets per betslip using the welcome bonus.
ComeOn! Sports has quite a few promos happening at any one time. Actually, there are a ton of them! Many of them are related to their casino operations, but there are also a heap of decent promos for sports betting. Not all of them might be strictly considered promotions, but rather features that ultimately make the betting experience a whole lot more fun.
Let’s have a look at what’s on offer in terms of promotions at ComeOn! Sports.
This one applies to both the casino and sports betting. Basically, you collect points for just about everything you do at ComeOn! Sports, and you can spend them at their online store. In that store, you can “purchase” free spins, bonuses, free bets, and other deals. Here’s a quick look at how you can collect points:
● Get 25 points just by logging in (once per day).
● Get 100 points by verifying your email address.
● Get 500 points by verifying your mobile number.
● Get 1,000 points after your first withdrawal from your account.
● Deposit money for points. The equivalent of every €10 (approx NZ$17) deposit earns you 50 points.
● Earn points when you play at the casino or bet on sports: For every €1 (approx NZ$1.70) casino bet, get 8 points, and for sports, you’ll get 10 points for each bet line up to a maximum of 100.
All you have to do for this one is to stake 5 combo bets to get a €10 (approx NZ$17) FREE BET.
Each qualifying bet must a combo/multi bet with a minimum stake €10 (approx NZ17). Each selection of your combo must have min odds of 1.30.
The more selections you make in a tennis accumulator bet, the more ComeOn! Sports will boost your return, up to 50%:
● Singles - 0%
● Doubles - 2%
● Trebles - 5%
● Fourfolds - 7%
● Fivefolds - 10%
● Sixfolds - 15%
● Sevenfolds - 25%
● Eightfolds - 30%
● Ninefolds - 40%
● Tenfolds + - 50%
Win up to 20% extra as cash when placing combo bets on US Sports (NHL, NFL, NBA, or MLB) at ComeOn! Sports. The more selections you add, the more they will boost your combo:
● Doubles - 2%
● Trebles - 3%
● 4-folds - 5%
● 5-folds - 10%
● 6-10-folds - 15%
● 11+ folds - 20%
Add 2 or more selections from selected sports and leagues to activate the Combo Boost:
● Doubles - 2%
● Trebles - 3%
● 4-folds - 4%
● 5-folds - 5%
● 6-10 - folds - 10%
● 11+ folds - 15%
We were pretty impressed with all of the sports and markets on offer at ComeOn! Sports. There are a bunch that you should be pretty familiar with such as football/soccer, tennis, basketball, boxing, cricket, golf, motorsport, rugby league and rugby union.
And then if you’re feeling a bit adventurous, ComeOn! Sports has everything from the mildly interesting to the downright out-there, like nordic sports and Eurovision!
Sadly there is no horse racing on offer, but we assume that ComeOn! Sports thinks their other offerings are good enough to keep you entertained.
While ComeOn! Sports isn’t one of the oldest sports betting sites; they do have a reasonably impressive range of sports betting features on offer. ComeOn! Sports has teamed up with sports data providers SBTech, whose motto is "to offer the best sportsbook product out there, with the right tools and smart extras to beat any challenge the competition may raise." While we’re not sure their offering can live up to that claim, there is plenty to check out.
If you go into the Live Betting section at the top of the screen you’ll be greeted with all of the available games that are being played at that time. When we were browsing this section, an NBA game between the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings was underway.
Within the data page for this game, there was all of the data we could hope for to make an informed bet, including all of the live moneylines. Every time odds would change, a small green or red arrow would flash inside that odds section to indicate whether the odds had gone up or down — this was super handy to get a feel for how the rhythm of the game was changing.
On the right-hand side of the screen, you could see the stats for the game, such as free throws, two-pointers, three-pointers, fouls, rebounds, etc.
At the top right, there is a tab called Visualisation, which when on offer, shows a graphic of the court (or field, or pitch etc.) with a visualisation of the action. Unfortunately for this NBA game that wasn’t on offer, so we would not expect this visualisation feature to be available for the likes of cricket and rugby games. It’s definitely available for big European leagues in tennis and football though.
Cash outs are available, and you’ll be able to see whether that’s on offer when you make the bet and also from within your betslip. Speaking of the betslip, that’s always in a tab to the right of the screen, so you don’t have to worry about that disappearing anywhere like on some other sites. The betslip itself is clear and easy to read, and you also accept odds changes automatically after you’ve made a bet. Odds can be set to decimal, fractional, or American.
As we touched on in the section above, the in-play betting is pretty good with ComeOn! Sports, There are heaps of data points to sink your teeth into, and we especially liked the small flashing red and green indicators to show which way the odds were going as they happened. While smaller games probably won’t have a ton of data, there should still be enough to make an interesting bet.
There are no live streaming options available at ComeOn! Sports, but then again we didn’t really expect to find it. Live streaming of sports is incredibly expensive to get the rights for, so not many sports betting sites have it on offer. Still, there is plenty of betting data to make ComeOn! Sports a great betting companion, so we don’t see the lack of live streaming as a big negative.
If you look down the left-hand side of the sports page (under the list of sports), there is a section called Odds Boosts. In here, you’ll find all of the games where they’ve boosted the odds for certain games. It changes all of the time depending on what games are on, so check in regularly.
Yourbet is a cool little tool that allows you to create and build your own custom bets from a single event. You can choose from a heap of bet types and as soon as you add them to your betslip it will automatically calculate your odds. For example, you could choose:
● Match result
● Both teams to score
● How many goals to be scored
● Or cards… all in the same bet!
If you have an inkling that someone is about to score, you can place a Pulse Bet to potentially win huge on a goal or points to be scored within a period of your choice!
Just as it sounds, the Cash Out feature allows you to cash out your bet to secure your winnings straight away, or to minimise any losses you think you might have before the bet is over. The Cash Out option is available for most bets, and you’ll be able to tell whether the option is available by looking at the bet and the betslip.
We understand that these major foreign sites are a long way from home at the TAB here in NZ, so you might have some concerns about the kind of information they need when you sign up.
Like every other sports betting website we review, we go through the registration process ourselves, from New Zealand, to find out what sort of info they ask for and how long it all takes.
With that being said, the registration process at ComeOn! Sports looks like this:
● Click on Bet Now, which is on our offer at the top of this screen.
● You’ll be sent to ComeOn! Sports, where you need to enter your email and create your password to start the registration process.
● Enter your name, address, phone number, date of birth, gender and currency. There is an option for a bonus code, but don’t worry about that as you get your welcome bonus by clicking on our link above to ComeOn! Sports.
● You’re good to go! Claim the bonus on the right-hand side of the screen with your first deposit.
This is one of the shorter registration processes we’ve seen, and it really shouldn’t take more than a few minutes before you are up and running and exploring the sports betting options on offer.
When you go to cash out, you'll need to have photo ID, much like every other reputable sports betting site. This is for your safety, so make sure the name you enter in your registration corresponds to the name on your photo ID. All of this is just ordinary procedure on any sports betting platform that values your privacy.
Okay, things get a little funky in the money department at ComeOn! Sports, so let us explain. Most online sports bookies will work in NZ dollars and have a minimum deposit of either NZ$10 or N$Z20. With ComeOn! Sports, however, it looks like they convert Euro to NZ dollars — so they actually want a minimum deposit of 10 Euro, and they then convert that to NZ$16. Same with the minimum withdrawal amount — what would be 20 Euro, they convert to NZ$34.
On top of that, that minimum deposit is not enough to qualify for the welcome bonus. For that, you need to deposit NZ$20, for which they will match your 100% with another NZ$20 in bonuses.
Oh and get this, they charge you a 2.5% fee for depositing! This is super cheeky of them, and it’s highly unusual for the online sports betting industry.
Let’s be generous and say that ComeOn! Sports has its “quirks” in the money department — whether they matter to you or not will probably come down to whether their overall offering makes up for it.
When a sports betting site is also a live casino with a ton on offer, sometimes things can get a bit cluttered and out of hand. With ComeOn! Sports, however, they do a really good job of keeping things tidy, and once you take a few moments to orientate yourself, you are good to go.
Essentially the whole left side of the screen is a column with all of the sports on offer. It starts with the most popular sports, as well as any odds boosts that are happening at the time.
Click on a sport from that left-hand-side column, and you’ll be greeted with all of the games within that sport that are available for betting.
To the right of the screen is your betslip and a history of your bets. At the top right, you can get support, shop at their ComeOn! Points Store, or check out your account status.
For newcomers, it might look a tiny bit cluttered, but honestly, spend a few minutes having a look around, and you’ll be flying around the site in no time. We give ComeOn! Sports solid marks for their desktop site design, it’s functional but still easy to navigate.
ComeOn! Sports do have apps available, but it might be a bit of a pain to get them. Let’s have a look at Android and iOS.
Upon looking on their website, we couldn’t find any link to download an app. But when we Googled “ComeOn! Sports App” we found a link. You cannot download any official app from the Google Play Store — instead, you need to follow the instructions that ComeOn! Sports give you. It’s not a massively complex task, but not exactly straightforward either.
Again, we had to Google the app to find a link on ComeOn! Sports’ website. From there, there is a link to an iOS download; however, our device told us the app was not available in New Zealand.
At the end of the day, it’s probably not worth jumping through hoops to find an app anyway. Their mobile website does a good enough job in that it’s quick, easy to navigate, and has all of the same bells and whistles as the desktop site.
During our review of ComeOn! Sports we found that overall, they did their best to match the world's largest sports betting sites. The default odds are set to decimal, but you can change them to either American or fractional at the top right of the screen.
In terms of betting features, have a look at our section above on ComeOn! Sports promotions — there are a few to choose from.
We’ve gotta be honest, ComeOn! Sports do let themselves down a little bit with their customer support. It’s not that the customer support itself is bad, it’s just that they don’t offer 24/7 live support. Like most other international sports betting sites, Comeon! Sports is based in Europe, which means their hours are not our hours.
For this reason, most other top-tier sports betting sites offer 24/7 live support to make sure their global customers get help when they need it. Unfortunately ComeOn! Sports only offers live support during certain hours (8 pm NZ time to 9 am NZ time) that don’t really link up with NZ too well.
Still, you can send them a message, and you will get a very friendly and helpful reply; it just probably won’t be straight away. Of course, if you don’t really think you’ll need much help, then you should be sweet, and this won’t be too much of a worry.
So ComeOn! Sports does indeed offer a VIP programme, but it’s all a little bit hush-hush. We couldn’t find anything when we looked on their site, so we contacted their support. This was their reply:
“We indeed do have a VIP Program for high-value players. There is however no specific way to apply for this: our VIP Team will reach out to all players personally if their accounts qualify. A high level of activity is generally one of the main requirements to be noticed.”
Basically what this means is that you just need to keep betting how you want to bet, and when the VIP team sees that you are using the site a lot, they will reach out and offer some perks to you. These VIP perks are things like a dedicated account manager, 24/7 service (hooray), free bets, and invites to exclusive tournaments.
If it were us though, we reckon there is no harm in contacting them directly to see if they would be willing to throw a few perks your way.
Having a punt on the weekend always makes the game a bit more exciting, but it should never be stressful. If you’re finding that having a bet is becoming more of a chore than a bit of fun, it’s important that you reach out and get some help.
Thankfully, ComeOn! Sports is a responsible sports betting site, and they have tools on hand to help you out if things get rough. If you click on your profile, there will be a responsible gambling tab. You can read about responsible gambling, figure out if you can improve your gambling habits, and have a look at the helpful tools on offer. You can choose to create spending limits, deposit limits, time limits, or even review your gambling habits with their data. You can also completely self-exclude if things are getting too much.
If your punting isn’t fun anymore, we definitely recommend checking out these tools for support.
ComeOn! Sports may not be the biggest sports player on the betting field, but we really like what they had on offer. The sports data is great, the site is easy to get around, and they have way more features and promos than most sports betting sites offer.
The only downside would be the lack of 24/7 support — however, they will get back to you in a reasonable amount of time. Besides, when you’ve got the option to bet on something as weird as cross-country skiing, what’s there to complain about?
If you’re looking for a great sports betting companion to join you on the couch, all with a few free bets in your pocket, we recommend checking out ComeOn! Sports.
