Mr Green has been a growing force within the gambling sector since 2007. The company initially started with their online casino, but the almost immediate success allowed them to expand into other avenues, such as sports betting.
Whilst it would be easy for us to sit here and throw many kind accolades at them, the fact that they have been able to bag several industry awards says more than we ever can. Whilst lots are casino focussed, there is plenty that is awarded based on the overall brand that's on offer.

New accounts to Mr Green will be able to claim a NZ$10 free bet. All you need to do is open an account, place a bet of NZ$10 or more at odds of 4.00 (3/1) or higher and then when that bet has settled, you will be credited with a NZ$10 free bet.
Once the free bet hits your account you get 7 days to use it before it expires. The free bet must be used on an accumulator bet of 3 or more selections. Any winnings from the promotion will not include the original stake and will be paid in cash.
Deposit made using Skrill, Moneybookers, Paysafe or Neteller will not be eligible to claim this offer.
Registration is a pretty painless task, to be honest, and will only take a few minutes. The first part is entering an email and password. Please note that you only enter your password once (there is no 2nd verification) so make sure you take your time as you need this to log in.
Next, you will enter your mobile number and Mr Green will send a 4-digit code to that number. Enter the code and then fill out your personal info.
Once done, you can then set a number of deposit limits on your account. This is the first part of the “gamble aware” section that you see with Mr Green, of which we talk more about later in this article.
To deposit you will need to send in your documents to verify your account. It can take up to 48 hours for this to complete, but it's a feature that is now mandatory with online sportsbooks and a positive addition in our opinion.
Mr Green will email and text when your account is good to go and then you can make your first deposit.
Mr Green comes with a strong range of banking options on site. Of course, credit and debit cards can be used, but e-wallets like Skrill, Neteller and Paypal can also be used as your payment method of choice. Other options include Trustly and BankID.
The only banking method that you will have to pay fees on to deposit with is that of the Paysafecard where a 3.9% transaction fee will be applied. Unfortunately, despite them being small, there are also fees to pay on withdrawals.
Withdrawals are reported to be processed within 5 working days, but we noticed that the likes of Visa and Mastercard took around 24 hours to be back into our bank, which is a strong positive.
One of the things that we like about Mr Green is how well their casino and sportsbook links. It's a one-wallet system, which means you can jump between each with ease and use the same bankroll.
The design is a familiar one and it looks very much like the BetterLogic platform that a lot of bookmakers are using. This is no bad thing, however, and in typical Mr Green fashion, they have put their own stamp on things with their green, white and black branding.
The site utilises a handy menu section down the left that is split up into the top menus, popular sports and then a full list of sports. They also include a search bar which is fixed to the top of every page, allowing you to jump to where you need to be.
You're going to be able to download the app for both Android and iOS via the App Store. Again, this is one app for the casino and the sportsbook, so it's all nicely tied in.
Like so many of the bigger brands, Mr Green has a huge range of sports to choose from. They specialise in football and horse racing (interestingly, only recently added), but there are few sports that they don't include. All the usual big hitters like cricket, darts, snooker, golf and motorsports. A limited range of niche sports can be bet on too, like WWE, chess, surfing and handball.
When researching the Mr Green sportsbook one of the areas that we were keen to test was their pricing structure. We've tested it previously and can say that the package that you get today is infinitely better than past experiences.
We won't go as far as saying that they are the best in the industry, as they are not. But we would say that they are one of the most reliable and by this, we simply mean that they're never really offering a bad price for any of the markets that we tested.
We wanted to jump straight in and mention the “Mr Green Specials” as our opening feature on the site. This section is where you see several boosted prices that have been pulled together by the trading team and usually offer great value.
What we liked the most is that the range of markets and sports that were covered here are vast, meaning that you aren't just getting your generic enhanced football prices that most bookies offer. At the time of testing, there was football, horse racing, rugby, cricket and golf specials. These range from boosted singles to enhanced accumulators.
The live betting section is where the bookmaker comes alive. It's a hive of activity here and pretty much all of their sports/markets get turned live now.
It's a lot more compact than most bookmakers, so you can not only jump between sports and matches but also you can access the betting markets and see the live events that are taking place for each game.
It works because you didn't need to head back to the main page to come away from a certain market. So, you could keep it running, whilst you found where you want to go next. Also, when you found where you need to be, you could hide the menu to make the betting markets and the match centre much more prominent, which is a cool feature.
The betting slip is one that is non-intrusive and sits at the bottom of the page. It only appears when you have bets in it, and you can minimise it so that you can't see it at all. It's really simple to use and before placing the bet it highlights if the bet will be eligible to use with their cash out betting feature as well.
One of the latest additions has been that of the stats section. It's linked to most sports so you can see this next to the odds for each match or game that you want to bet on.
On desktop, the stats section is integrated into the page, so it hovers over the market that you are betting on. It includes an insane amount of data and it's all free to use as well. One thing that we did note is that there is no horse racing form here, so you will have to look elsewhere for this.
Bet Builder is now live at Mr Green after a long-awaited “test phase”. For those that don't know, Bet Builder allows you to create your bets on a match or markets that would usually be linked and therefore, unable to include in one single bet. With Bet Builder, you can choose a range of bets from a certain game and combine them into one “combi-bet”, which is essentially an accumulator.
The whole process is very simple to use and the odds that it offers are more than fair. You can access this via both desktop and mobile app.
Finally, there is also a VIP section. This is an invite-only area, so you need to be playing a high volume or betting high stakes to get in.
Some of the features for this include instant withdrawals, increased deposit limits, no fees, bespoke promotions, exclusive hosted events, personal account manager and much more. If you think that you should be VIP, then don't wait for them to reach out to you, instead, you get in touch with them.
Mr Green loves a promotion or two – even a nice welcome bonus. One of the best things about it is that, even as a sports bettor, you can get access to their casino promotions as well, and vice versa. The offers are constantly changing, and some are only targeted towards certain (loyal) customers. You can jump on the “promotions” tab on-site and see which ones you can claim.
There's a wide range of customer support options at Mr Green, with the best way to contact them being that of the live chat function. If you'd rather use an alternative method, you can get in touch by phone, email or on Twitter.
Responsible gambling plays a huge role for Mr Green. As soon as you sign up you are going to need to send across your ID to verify your account and once in, there are several ways that you can limit your account. These include deposit limits, loss limits, take a break, self-exclusion and an activity checker to see how much time you've been spending online and how often you want to be prompted to take a break.
Mr Green has also set up “Green Gaming” which is a mini site that is dedicated towards responsible gambling. It highlights all the features on-site and also tells you where players can get help, should they need it. On top of this, they have tips to prevent problem gambling and also tools to help you block sites.
Mr Green's Sportsbook has come a long way in the last few years. We've tested it multiple times now and each time they keep getting that little bit better.
The layout, design and functionality of the site are all on point. Their pricing structure seems to keep getting stronger and their mobile app is a great addition.
The only negative is the withdrawal fees and the slight lack of market coverage for the niche sports. However, these can easily be amended (especially the banking fees) and it wouldn't make us hesitate about recommending them as a top quality sportsbook.Visit Mr Green Sports
