Coral Sports has revealed multiple wins over a bumper weekend for football betting, including a Scottish punter who managed to win an amazing £89,000 from just a £10 bet. The anonymous footie fan from East Lothian placed a bet at the Coral branch in Prestonpans, and successfully picked nine football teams who all won without conceding a goal. The punter’s odds on the Winning Ways coupon meant he would normally have won £67,000, but the bookmaker was offering an additional 33% bonus on the Winning Ways bets if nine or more teams were selected. The customer’s additional earnings on the accumulator were £22,000, netting him a grand total of £89,000.

On the same weekend, London based Serge Yalongo picked 16 games in a £1 accumulator bet at the Coral shop in Brixton. The bet paid off, returning an impressive haul of just under £20,000. The 36 year old was flabbergasted by the win, admitting, “I can’t believe it, I have never even dreamed of a winning such a large amount of money and it will certainly be put to good use”.

Northumberland resident John Sinclair claimed another weekend win, after placing an 18-game accumulator online for just £2, which won the Acklington man just over £40,000. Mr. Sinclair revealed that the win coincided with his birthday, adding, “It was my birthday on Saturday and I couldn’t have dreamed of a better present. We’ve just had our second baby and thanks to this amazing win I will be able to pay off some of my mortgage and other debts and make life more comfortable. To be honest I’m still in total shock”.

While the weekend saw British bookmakers suffering heavy losses across the board, Coral were happy to share in the celebration for their customers. Coral spokeswoman Nicola McGeady said, “These customers are representative of thousands more across the country who won life-changing amounts of money this weekend. With all the most popular teams, bar Cardiff, winning across all the English and Scottish divisions we were doomed. No bookie in Britain will have escaped unscathed and small staking football punters everywhere have taken bookmakers for over £25 million.”

If you think you can predict nine or more games where one team will win while the other remains non-scoring, why not visit Coral Sports today and fill out a Winning Ways coupon.
