The Market Leaders
The King of Clay Rafael Nadal, who heads the betting at 10/11 with BetVictor, is bidding for an amazing 13th French Open victory and a 20th Grand Slam title. The Spaniard purposely skipped last week's US Open to focus on this event and at a shade of odds on he looks a tempting bet considering his dominance on his favourite surface at Roland Garros.
Novak Djockovic will be keen to bounce back after a bizarre event that saw him disqualified from the US Open for striking a line judge with a tennis ball. Although the World No.1 has 17 grand slam titles, Roland Garros has not been a happy hunting ground for him as he has only event once whilst also losing in the final three times. The Serb can be backed at around 3/1 with various top bookmakers.
Dominic Thiem finally broke his major duck with a gutsy display on Sunday night, after being two sets to love down he rallied tenaciously to win 3-2. The Austrian is back on his preferred surface and has an impressive record in Paris with successive semi-final finishes followed by back to back runner up spots so he should be in the mix again. If you want to back Dominic Thiem, he’s available to back at 3/1 with Paddy Power.

Outsiders to Consider
Although Stan Wawrinka has yet the level of form he showed four years ago he is impossible to rule out. The swiss has three major's in the bag including a 3-1 final triumph over Novak Djockovic here in 2015 so he knows how to seal the deal and is an opponent nobody wants to face. Despite his impressive major record, he is still available at a huge best price of 33/1 with 888 Sport.
Alexander Zverev - who can be backed at 20/1 with GentingBet - continues to go from strength to strength and although he threw away a two-set lead in the US Open final there were a lot of positives to take from his major campaign. At just 23 years of age, he has already achieved so much in the game with the highlight being his 2018 ATP Tour final win over Novak Djockovic. Sascha has enjoyed successive quarter-final finishes at Roland Garros and after contending at the business end of the Australian Open and Us Open it would be no surprise to see him go close again.
Of the remaining field, Stefanos Tsitsipas (18/1) remains a player with a lot of ability but continues to struggle in major tournaments while the exciting Daniil Medvedev (33/1) will need a change of fortune here as he is yet to win a game in three attempts at this venue.
