Above are THE top five trends to follow when looking for the winner of the 2020 Stayers' Hurdle.
We've analysed in detail the last 15 runnings of this Cheltenham Festival Championship race, taking deep dives into the form of the winners and placed horses, looking at their past runs, their breeding, and every other statistic we could think of.
What we found are very strong markers that will steer you towards the winner of this year's Stayers' Hurdle, as they did last year when highlighting Paisley Park.
Scroll down to find out why the trends liked him so much last year, and read full details of the other key Stayers' Hurdle trends to follow, beyond the top five.
On the trends, the 2019 Stayers' Hurdle shortlist consisted Paisley Park, Faugheen, and Supasundae - two of those three finishing in the first three places in another Cheltenham Festival classic.
Paisley Park was the 11/8f favourite having his four starts that season, including the Cleeve Hurdle at Cheltenham in January, which had produced four of the last 12 winners, and the Long Walk Hurdle at Ascot, where Big Buck's last ran before his three wins in 2009, 2010, and 2011. He ticked every trends box and duly obliged.
The Irish pair Faugheen and Supasundae, who finished third and seventh, also stood out on trends, ticking all the boxes. There was just a query over Faugheen's advanced years, and the fact that Supasundae had not run over 3m that season.

It was a fairytale win for Paisley Park and his owner Andrew Gemmell in the 2019 Stayers' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
Unbeaten throughout the season for trainer Emma Lavelle and jockey Aidan Coleman, the star seven-year-old took the lead at the last hurdle and drew away to win by nearly three lengths.
Listening from the parade ring, Gemmell, blind from birth, could not contain his excitement as the crowds roared his Paisley Park home - one of very few favourites to win at the 2019 Cheltenham Festival.
Sam Spinner, who boiled over when 9/4 favourite in 2018, put a disappointing season behind him with a 33/1 second, the 11-year-old Faugheen digging deep for a distant third, ahead of his Willie Mullins-trained stablemate Bapaume.
