Betfred and Bet365 can now offer a bevy of bountiful games thanks to a new partnership with the Inspired Gaming Group. Just over 12 months after Inspired appointed Lee Gregory as the Managing Director of the UK and Dave Hammond as SVP of Mobile, the SBG Video Lottery and Virtual Sports provider has partnered with Betfred and Bet365.
The two deals will see Inspired provide mobile HTML5 gaming options, including White Knight and Merlin slots, to both sites via its Virgo remote gaming server. Not only that, but Bet365 will be filling its Italian platform with a host of new virtual sports betting options, including horse racing and football.
Back in 2015, Bet365 enjoyed a successful 12 months of operation in Italy with its live and online sports betting platforms, raking in a staggering €1 billion (£780 million). Of this figure, Bet365 was able to generate €276 million (£216 million) in online revenue; an amount of money that was not only more than four times greater than that of its closest rival, Eurobet, but enough to make it the leading sports betting operator in Italy.
Buoyed by this success, Bet365 Italy will now offer a range of virtual sports betting options courtesy of Inspired. The new features will include:
Commenting on the new deal, Inspired's president of Italian operations, Vitaliano Casalone, explained that more than 25% of the country now wagers money on virtual sports. With the help of Bet365 he expects this figure to grow in the coming months. Casalone explained:
"The success of Inspired’s Virtual Sports in Italy has been phenomenal – 25% of all bets in Italy are now on our Virtual Sports and this is growing all the time. We are thrilled that Bet365, with whom we have an excellent partnership across many other international markets, has added our Virtual Sports to its product portfolio. We are confident that they will be an immediate hit and drive substantial incremental revenues for Bet365."
While Bet365 is busy building its Italian empire with Inspired, Betfred will be looking to build on the relationship it's had with the company since 2009.
The latest contract extension will see Betfred focus much more on Inspired's range of mobile slots and titles, such as Centurion, Super Hot Fruits and The Guardians. In fact, with Inspired recently cutting a deal with software supplier NextGen, the partnership with Betfred should facilitate the release of even more mobile products in the coming months.
Steve Rogers, Inspired’s chief commercial officer for digital games, said:
"Our mobile business is growing rapidly from a combination of new partnerships, such as Betfred and the recently announced deal with NYX [NextGen], and chart topping games, such as Rise of Anubis and Rush Football Live."
