888 Poker Launches 'Live the Game' Campaign

If you're tired of online poker promotions that assume every punter has the same set of goals and play style, then 888 Poker might just have the answer with its 'Live the Game' offer. Designed to be something of a departure from the standard poker bonuses you might find online, the innovative, interactive promotion is based on the idea that players actually "live the game" during their everyday lives and, therefore, everyone is different.

To offer something for players of all persuasions, 888 Poker has put together a system that lets players choose their own (poker-related) destiny and complete a series of unique challenges. To get the action underway and win a chance to play for tournament prizes worth in excess of £7,000, 888 Poker players must first make a deposit using one of three deposit codes.

Choose Your Destiny

In line with the concept of the promotion, a player can choose the deposit code that suits their personality type and style of play. The three categories are 'Call', 'Raise' and 'All-In', and the codes are as follows:

  • Using Code CALL10 - Players receive five tickets to any of the £1,400 'Smooth Call' tournaments (running twice daily).
  • Using Code RAISE10 - Players receive two entries into the £3,500 'Raise the Stakes' tournaments (running once every day).
  • Using Code ALLIN10 - Players are awarded one ticket to a £7,000 'Action Hero' tournament (running Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays).

After making the deposit and participating in the tournaments, all 'Live the Game' participants will be sent an email by 888 Poker's bonus department offering them the chance to complete missions in one of the following three categories:

  • Smooth Player Mission - Complete this mission to receive a ticket to a £1,400 'Smooth Call' tournament.
  • Big Raiser Mission - Complete this mission to win an entry into a £3,500 'Raise the Stakes' tournament.
  • All Action Mission - Players who complete this mission will be awarded a seat in a £7,000 'Action Hero' tournament.

Each 'Live the Game' tournament is another chance to win a five-figure prize, and there's no limit to the number of tickets players can win during the promotional period.

Assessing Your Play Style

While the decision to offer player-specific bonuses is an interesting one, the offer would fall flat on its face if players weren't able to assess their own playing traits – including whether they're more likely to call, raise or go all-in when the pressure is on.

To ensure everyone gets as much value out of the promotion as possible, 888 Poker has outlined the sorts of behaviours a caller, raiser and all-in'er display. When you navigate to 888 Poker's promo page, you can read a complete breakdown of each personality type before deciding where your allegiances lie.

Broadly speaking, 'Call' players are characterised as safe and cautious, 'Raise' players are highly rational and more likely to take calculated risks, while 'All-In' players are characterised as being gutsy extroverts.
