redbet is an online sportsbook operated by Evoke Gaming Limited from its Malta HQ. redbet's sports betting site runs alongside a Microgaming-powered poker room and an online casino. Sportsbook customers are able to access all three platforms using a single log-in.
redbet sportsbook is licensed both in Malta and the UK and accepts customers from across Europe and around the world. It offers hundreds of markets on everything from football to US sports and politics.
With some established software from SBTech and a recognisable gambling brand, things are looking up for redbet. But how does the sportsbook stand up in a crowded market? Let's take a closer look.
|Solid SBTech software platform||'Best Odds Guaranteed' not offered|
|High limits on most deposit methods||No live streams or matches available|
|Bonus bet welcome offer for new sign-ups|
New redbet sign-ups can earn two special bonuses when they open an account. In total, the offers amount to NZ$100 in bonuses.
Step 1 involves a NZ$50 bonus bet. You earn this by placing a bet with minimum odds of 4/5. You will receive a refund of 25% of your stake back in the form of a bonus bet if your wager loses.
The second step involves making NZ$200 on sports bets with minimum odds of 4/5. Regardless of whether you win or lose, you will get NZ$25 in sports bonus bets, and NZ$25 in casino bonus money.
Bonus bets carry no wagering requirement, and you can withdraw any winnings from them straight away.
You can register a new redbet account in minutes, and all you will need is a few personal details. The site is open only to customers aged 18 or over.
To open a new account, you will need to provide all the usual information, like your name, address, date of birth and email address.
Security protocols are good when signing up at redbet. Your password won't be accepted unless it contains upper and lower cases letters, plus numbers.
You can also set deposit limits during the registration process. Choose a daily, weekly or monthly limit, or none at all. redbet also gives you the option to opt out of any exclusive promotion offers or email/SMS correspondence.
You can make deposits at redbet using a fairly broad range of banking options. Deposit methods carry no fees, and most transactions happen instantly. You may have to wait a day or two if you are making a bank transfer from a European bank.
ID verification may be required at any time during the banking process, but we were able to make a redbet deposit from the UK without having to provide any documents.
Valid photo ID includes a current passport or driving licence. To complete a withdrawal, you may also have to provide proof of income and a recent utility bill. You might have to provide a scan of your credit/debit card if you deposit and withdraw using the same card.
There are no withdrawal fees at the redbet sports betting site, and the minimum cash-out amount is £10 for UK customers or €30 for non-UK players. Swedish and some European banks have the largest withdrawal limits, around €1m.
As part of the Evoke Gaming group, redbet now uses software from SBTech to power its sportsbook. The software is licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority for added trustworthiness.
Some of the leading UK-facing sportsbooks now operate on SBTech's platform. It allows for thousands of betting markets to be offered at once, including live in-play gambling and streams.
The redbet sportsbook works on an instant-play platform without the need for download. Simply log in through your PC or Mac browser to get started. You can also use the same funds for redbet's casino and live casino games.
As with other SBTech-powered sites, redbet works best if you have your browser window set to maximum. That way you can fully view the list of options and markets down the left-hand side.
Under the 'Homepage' tab, you can view matches and events that are starting soon, change settings, or view your personal betting history.
redbet's sportsbook actually works a little better on mobile than on desktop. Markets can be viewed easily and you can even log in using Face ID or Touch ID if your device allows it.
You have two options on mobile. You can use a browser-based site on your phone or download a dedicated app for iOS or Android.
We liked the search function - one of the highlights of the SBTech mobile platform - which saves you time hunting for the right games and events. The 'Deposit' button sits permanently on your game screen too. Just tap it to get to the Cashier quickly.
Set amounts of NZ$20, NZ$50 or NZ$100 are displayed in your account 'dashboard'. These allow you to make a quick deposit any time using a saved banking method. However, you can also enter your required amount in the box provided.
redbet uses SBTech's Chameleon360 platform, which allows for dozens of sports offering thousands of markets and bets.
Popular games like football/soccer and tennis are well-represented, but there is also a good showing for UK and Irish greyhounds and horse racing. US sports like American Football and baseball are also offered.
Odds can be displayed in Fractional, Decimal, or US before you even hit the lobby. Most games and events have detailed stats, all supplied by Swiss sports data giants, Sportradar.
Football/Soccer: There are thousands of football markets available in the redbet sportsbook lobby. We counted nearly 100,000 different bets on a busy Thursday evening, and most weekend action can be wagered on days in advance.
Markets are split into 'Live & Upcoming', and 'Outrights', and all major world leagues and competitions are covered. Wagers can be made on English Premier League, Spanish La Liga, and German Bundesliga, many of which are in-running.
We found a typical Europa League game that had 1X2 betting alongside Total Goals and over 300 other scorer and forecast markets.
Horse Racing: redbet has around 400 races to bet on at any one time. Races are split between 'Next Off' and 'Meetings' to allow you find a quick bet or a longer-term ante-post bet. Full stats and form are provided on every race.
Tennis: You can bet on everything from the ATP Tour to WTA and Grand Slams like Wimbledon. Markets include match result, game handicap, and total games. You can also view in-depth head-to-head stats between players.
Golf: Golf markets are available in both the regular and live betting areas of the redbet site. Events include the PGA Tour and Ryder Cup, and you can view full history and stats on previous match-ups.
Darts: As with all SBTech-powered online sportsbooks, redbet spreads a full range of darts markets. Live & Upcoming matches include the week or month's big championships. You can also make bets on Outright markets like the following year's PDC Championship.
US sports (NFL, NBA, etc): US sports like American Football and baseball can be wagered on at redbet. Outrights can be bet on across CFL, NFL and NCAAF leagues. Individual game markets include points totals, match winner, and handicap.
Other sports: redbet has a comprehensive list of alternative sports to bet on. Every daily UK greyhound race from Newcastle to Crayford has a market. Some ante-post betting is also available on big end-of-season cups. eSports and even WWE betting can be found here too.
Specials: The 'TV & Novelty' tab features outrights on UK and global events. You can bet on the financial markets or special contests like the Turner Prize.
redbet compares well with rival sportsbooks when it comes to their range of odds. We found slightly higher odds on two big Premier League favourites compared to those at six of the other leading bookmakers online.
An 'enhanced odds' offer doesn't seem to be available at redbet, nor does Best Odds Guaranteed. This would usually be a certain feature of most licensed sportsbooks.
redbet offers a 'request odds' service. If you want odds on a market that isn't covered, you can contact customer support to request bespoke odds. They won't always be given, but the facility is available.
The live chat service works quite well too. Before you contact a customer support member, a redbet 'bot' will try to answer your question first with a series of multiple responses. We found that our question wasn't always accurately answered, however, and we ended up contacting the support team anyway.
Horse Racing: Full stats and history are provided on all horse racing markets at redbet. You have options to take the current price and view the recent change in price. Alternatively, you can take the starting price when you make your bet.
Football/Soccer: Football offers the largest range of markets. Full stats and head-to-heads are displayed on-site, and you can skip to the bet you want via a drop-down menu (Both Teams to Score, Double Chance, HT/FT, etc).
Cash Out: Cash Out and Partial Cash Out are available on selected matches and games. Just look for the green 'CASH OUT' display when you select a game. Winnings can be cashed in early before the end of a game.
We liked using the redbet betslip. The slip displays all singles and combinations you've made. There's also a 'System' tab which calculates all possible perms for your selections (doubles, trebles, fourfolds), together with your potential payout.
Live Streaming: redbet uses Sportradar's live match tracker, Betradar, to let you follow a game as it happens. During a game, you can follow the goals, corners, or throws in real time by watching the visualizer on-screen.
Visualizer stats are available on most football matches, team sports, tennis and US sports.
You can access redbet's range of live in-play markets by tapping the 'Live Betting' tab in the lobby.
You'll see a 'Live Right Now' list of games that can be bet on immediately. However, you can also filter the upcoming live betting markets by sport (football, tennis, cricket, basketball, golf, badminton, snooker, and volleyball). There is also a 'Favourites' option where you can save events to revisit later.
VIP Program: redbet doesn't advertise its VIP scheme on the site, but there is one if you look hard enough.
A loyalty scheme exists for players with the right betting activity. However, you will only be contacted if your activity matches the criteria of the VIP team. Benefits vary, depending on your history, but typical offers include free bets and faster cash-out times.
At time of review, there wasn't a huge range of regular promotions at redbet for sports bettors. However, deals and offers are emailed to customers weekly. We also found it worth following redbet's Facebook and Twitter pages to keep up to date with any daily promotions that crop up.
One-off promos at redbet include free bets, cash back on losing bets, and 50% match bonus offers. It's a shame that in 2019, the majority of promotions are reserved for slots and casino players.
At redbet, you can make contact with a helpful member of the support staff 24/7. Support is offered via Live Chat, email, or UK phoneline. In addition, you can get help on redbet's dedicated Twitter feed.
redbet also has a comprehensive FAQ page covering everything from deposits and security to registration, account verification, and technical issues.
The live chat service utilises a bot to start with. Enter a question and you will be presented with several possible responses. You still have the option to speak to a human customer support member if you need to.
As soon as you sign up for a redbet sportsbook account, you can see the site's positive approach to responsible gambling.
Deposit limits can be set before you even complete the registration process. You can also adjust your loss limit, turnover limit, or session time limit.
We liked that redbet operates a 'Reality Check' service. You can set up a Reality Check pop-up alert which will be displayed after you have been logged in for a specified amount of time.
For more serious problem gambling, you can request to take a break of 1-30 days, or ask to be self-excluded for 6 months and up. redbet will close any new accounts opened during a self-exclusion period.
In addition to account measures, redbet also provides links and phone numbers to organisations like GamCare and Gamblers Anonymous.
redbet might be better known for its casino output, but they are taking their sportsbook seriously. The software is excellent, and we loved the Betradar-powered statistics and live betting services.
The lack of regular promotions is a bugbear, but the welcome bonus is a bit different to that offered at rival sports betting sites. Give redbet a play today and sign up for free.Visit RedBet Sports
