Leicester, Burnley and Sheffield Sign Deal with Ladbrokes

British betting and gaming business Ladbrokes has made a strong start to its football season by signing deals with three clubs across the Premier League and Championship. The agreements are set to enhance the brand's betting visibility among football punters both via TV and on match days!

Ladbrokes Strikes a Quick-fire Hat-trick of Football Clubs

Football betting continues to boom and further growth is expected in coming seasons as mobile betting becomes ingrained in punter psychology. Betting industry giants such as Ladbrokes are increasingly striking deals with UK clubs.

Ladbrokes' betting site has recently put together three deals with leading football clubs, confirming link-ups with Premier League sides Leicester City and Burnley FC, and complementing its portfolio with Championship outfit Sheffield United.

Ladbrokes' Signing One – Leicester City

Ladbrokes' announcement of a deal with Leicester City has seen it become the club's official UK and Ireland betting partner during the 2017/18 EPL season. The arrangement is quite a coup for Ladbrokes given the success of the Foxes in recent years, and the reach the club have in Asia thanks to their owner, Thai billionaire Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, the duty-free shop mogul.

The deal will see Ladbrokes branding on LED advertising hoardings, social media and as a backdrop on TV screens during interviews broadcast to 32,000 fans inside the King Power Stadium. Furthermore, the firm will set up shop inside the ground, as the exclusive supplier of football bets to fans. Francis Callejon, Head of Commercial Acquisition at Leicester City Football Club, commented on the deal, saying:

"We are proud to welcome Ladbrokes into our family of partners. The partnership with one of the UK’s leading betting brands meets our aim of attracting the strongest partners in order to deliver the best services to our fans. Ladbrokes share our passion for the game and we have a number of exciting plans to enhance the overall supporter experience."

Ladbrokes' Head of Public Relations, Jessica Bridge, also highlighted the company's delight at signing on the dotted line, adding:

"We are very excited at Ladbrokes to be forming this dynamic partnership with Leicester City Football Club as another enthralling Premier League season gets under way. It promises to be an exciting season ahead for the club and we would like to wish the manager, the players and all the fans the very best of luck."

Ladbrokes' Signing Two – Burnley FC

Ladbrokes' second signing of the 2017/18 season has been with Premier League side Burnley, with a package of benefits akin to Leicester City's collaboration. Ladbrokes will become the club's official UK betting partner, in a three-year agreement that will see the firm feature prominently on the club website, social media and Turf Moor's giant screen.

It will also become the in-ground bookmaker for fans wanting to bet on football matches, while offering exclusive promotions and prizes to Burnley supporters, including VIP match-day tickets and signed merchandise. Ladbrokes revealed that the partnership forms a key part of its marketing plan for the North West:

"We are very excited at Ladbrokes to be forming this dynamic partnership with Burnley Football Club as another enthralling Premier League season gets under way."

Burnley's Commercial Director, Anthony Fairclough, said they are delighted with the deal for the club and the fans:

"This will create a lot of new experiences for the fans,” he said. “We look forward to welcoming Ladbrokes and not only will it involve major exposure at Turf Moor, it will see a full betting service offered to fans through the concourses, as well as their branding on the Cricket Field Stand."

Ladbrokes' Signing Three – Sheffield United

Ladbrokes' third signing of the 2017/18 season has been struck with Championship side Sheffield United, with similar mutual benefits as the Premier League deals. The firm's betting branding will appear across social media, around Bramall Lane's hoardings, in the match-day programme and on the new giant TV at the stadium.

As the official stadium betting partner to the Blades, Ladbrokes will also boost the atmosphere with a range of special promotions and prizes such as tours of the ground, training day experiences, signed shirts and free tickets. Ladbrokes' PR team revealed that it’s happy to be part of the chase for promotion:

"We are very excited at Ladbrokes to be forming this dynamic partnership with Sheffield United Football Club as they embark on their mission to be promoted to the Premier League."

The news of the three deals joins further moves by the Ladbrokes’ Coral Group this season, with Coral having been named as Sunderland AFC's Stadium Betting Partner, and Official Partner of Middlesbrough as well as the Riverside home of the Championship side.

For those looking to enjoy some wagers on the early part of the EPL and Championship seasons, simply visit Ladbrokes' extensive football betting markets and find the best odds for you and your match of choice. New players signing up with Ladbrokes for the first time will get a beyond generous welcome bonus to get them started!
