In the ever-competitive world of casino gaming, we all know that size matters – for operators and players alike. To help distinguish themselves from the competition, casino brands are hiking up their jackpot prizes in order to attract a greater market share – with Evolution Gaming being the latest firm to up the ante.
The group have announced plans to launch what would be the world’s largest progressive jackpot linked to an online live casino. The ‘Jumbo 7 Jackpot’ will be available to Casino Hold'em players, with a prize fund of a very handsome £1 million up for grabs. The announcement marks a potentially huge shift in live gameplay!
The qualifying criteria for the Jumbo 7 Jackpot are a doddle: this is simply a side bet placed by players when sat at the Casino Hold ‘em table. The best bit? The jackpot can be won even if you fold your hand or get beaten by the dealer. You can literally become a millionaire by landing a seven-card Straight Flush with the Jumbo 7 side bet in play.
There's also a 2nd tier of payouts – which are still substantial – that can be triggered for a variety of other hands. The £1 million jackpot is eye-catching enough, but Evolution’s chief product officer Todd Haushalter believes this figure could rise to in excess of £30 million eventually, such has been the brand’s growth in player volume.
That sort of number would make this Casino Hold’ em jackpot one of the largest in iGaming history. Haushalter explained:
"By Evolution contributing the whole €1,000,000 to start the jackpot, it is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to operators and players. That sort of money makes playing the game a lot more fun, and that is our mission with this Jackpot version of Casino Hold’em."
Evolution Gaming have been part of the online casino industry for more than a decade now, evolving (if you’ll pardon the pun) into the key live dealer software provider for a number of huge brands including Party Casino, LeoVegas, Casumo and more. If you're a Casino Hold ‘em lover that regularly visits one of these online casino sites, you'll soon be able to duke it out for the Jumbo 7 Jackpot prize.
If you prefer other forms of casino game then that’s no problem: Evolution are self-billed as the ‘world leader in video-streamed live dealer gaming’, so there are plenty of other options that await you. From roulette and baccarat to blackjack and poker, Evolution’s team of live dealers are on hand to spin the wheel and deal the cards whenever you please.
The brand has even launched Sports Roulette, a TV-studio style game that features live sports news and clips as you are placing your bets. It's really no surprise that their dynamic and innovative range of software has seen Evolution awarded a stack of trophies over the years, including ‘Live Casino Software Supplier of the Year’ for three years running at the prestigious EGR Awards.
We all know that high quality graphics and developing know-how is enough to keep many coming back for their favourite online casino game, with the prospect of winning some pocket money the icing on the cake. So imagine the sheer, unbridled joy that jackpot winners out there must have felt when they realised – and then double-checked – that they had scooped the big bucks.
Evolution are providing the industry’s very first jackpot prize linked to a live dealer game, but as you may already know, more traditional forms of progressive jackpot games already exist. These are life-changing sums of money, it must be said. At the time of writing, some examples of jackpot amounts include the £1.1 million available on Mega Fortune, £1.7 million on Monty Python’s Spamalot and an eye-popping £2.3 million on Arabian Nights.
Remarkably, these pale into insignificance compared to the largest wins from jackpot games. How about the deep-sea fisherman who netted £5.4 million from a 20p spin? And how about the soldier who smashed the UK record for an online casino payout: a whopping £13.2 million from a 25p spin of the reels. Maybe you could emulate these life-changing winners courtesy of the king of mobile casino LeoVegas!
