Ladbrokes' new omni-channel wallet option is now live across the company's network of 3,500-plus betting stores in the United Kingdom. The new betting technology works via the Ladbrokes The Grid loyalty card and mobile app, providing bettors with the power to load up their virtual Ladbrokes accounts and use in the 'real world'.
The company intends to have the omni-wallet synching with more than 7,000 self-service Ladbrokes terminals before the start of 2018, although the innovation can still be used at a traditional betting counter. As revealed by Ladbrokes Corals' Head of Omni-Channel Product, Darren Calvia, the desire to enhance gambler experience has been at the heart of developing the new wallet:
"Customer convenience is at the heart of everything we do,” he said. “We are proud that the Ladbrokes omni-wallet is now the industry-leading omni-channel solution."
The Ladbrokes omni-channel wallet provides the firm's customers with several distinct features, designed to enhance the betting experience. One key element is that Ladbrokes customers can now collect winnings instantly in cash, or opt for the money to be added to the omni-wallet, enabling funds for online gaming.
The wallet offers increased levels of security and safer gambling, with the option to use responsible gambling features, such as monitoring expenditure and setting deposit limits. It works across all Ladbrokes products, meaning gamblers can now use different services, such as sports betting and casino gaming, without any hassle. Calvia said:
"With the launch of the Ladbrokes omni-wallet, Ladbrokes joins Coral as the only betting shops on the high street where customers can seamlessly access an omni-wallet across all products."
