Mega Moolah Makes Another Millionaire

The ever-popular online slot Mega Moolah has finally released its €6,905,670 jackpot, just a week after the experts at Leo Vegas predicted a hit in the coming weeks. At the beginning of April, the online casino reported that Mega Moolah was reaching a tipping point and its experts expected a new millionaire to be made in the spring.

The title from the team behind Microgaming is one of the developer's most popular progressive jackpots; as news of a potential windfall spread across the iGaming community, the number of players taking a spin increased dramatically.

With the race to see where the jackpot would hit reaching a climax, Leo Vegas was on hand to dish out 50 free spins, plus an additional 200 free spins to each customer that made a daily deposit.

A Short-Lived Prediction

Just a few days after the spring prediction, however, news filtered through that a player over at Spin Palace Casino had rolled in the necessary symbols to unlock Mega Moolah's mega jackpot. Although the winner's identity is yet to be revealed, a spokesperson for Spin Palace Casino confirmed that the €6,905,670 jackpot had been won by one of its players:

"It is always an incredible feeling to have one of our players become an instant millionaire. On behalf of everyone at Spin Palace, massive congratulations to our winning player on their near €7 million fortune."

The latest big money jackpot from Microgaming's Mega Moolah comes just six months after it paid out a world record win to the UK's Jon Heywood. After anteing up for just a few pence in late October, Heywood managed to scoop the largest online slot payout in history after the cash counter eventually stopped at €17,879,645. Microgaming's Head of Casino, John Quinn, went on to explain:

"It's not long since we were celebrating our historic and record-breaking win. To be able to crown another millionaire so soon after is brilliant – congratulations to the lucky Spin Palace player."

The Slot that Keeps on Giving

With another millionaire made and its status as the leading online slot game in the industry safe, Mega Moolah's jackpot has now been reset to €1,000,000. That jackpot is currently still intact, but on 18th April it emerged that another player managed to scoop a significant prize from the game.

According to a press release, Maria G managed to turn a €2.50 investment into €52,000, despite initially thinking she'd rolled in a prize worth significantly less. Marie G explained:

"It was just unbelievable, when I saw the winning screen with the sum, at first I thought that I won €52, then I realised that there were €52,000. It was an incredible feeling."

As for when the next Mega Moolah jackpot will strike, no one really knows. But if history has taught us anything, it's that when it does it’ll be a jackpot worth winning.
