Lost Vegas is described as a darkly comic take on the zombie apocalypse genre. Players can decide whether to play as a heroic 'survivor' battling to preserve mankind or as a zombie looking for a nice bit of arm or leg to chew on.

This is a rather unique take on titles featuring the undead. In Survivor mode, players are looking to collect cash sums as part of their stash, and these are paid at the end of the bonus feature. In Zombie mode, reels are infected, where a Z symbol appears.
