FOX Bet is an easy-to-use online sportsbook and is inviting to all customers by offering affordable bets and promotions. No matter the size of your bankroll or betting interests, there's an expansive menu of options across major and niche sports markets.
FOX Bet also provides transparency on its odds boosts by showing the original price. It has weekly giveaways associated through interacting with its social media platforms on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. FOX Bet also offers an online casino and poker for players in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
FOX Bet originally launched in 2019 in New Jersey and quickly went live in Pennsylvania the same month. Its online sportsbook expanded to Colorado in May 2020. Although FOX Bet doesn’t yet operate in as many states as some top competitors do, it’s a large and established brand thanks to the TV Network FOX Sports, which highlights the online sportsbook's markets and promotions during TV sports shows. FOX Bet has assembled a dynamic online sportsbook on desktop and its FOX Bet mobile app for bettors to enjoy.
|Welcome offer has a low play-through requirement on bonus funds||Customer service options limited to live chat and email|
|Variety of markets and betting options||Sign-up bonus not as lucrative as other top sportsbooks, but has low play-through requirement|
|Affordable and rewarding promotions||Currently available in only three states|
|Transparency on odds boosts|
Customers can access the FOX Bet online sports betting site through its desktop platform as well as the FOX Bet app. You can create an account and place wagers within the state borders of Colorado, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and can browse FOX Bet sportsbook from anywhere.
When you access the FOX Bet sportsbook you'll find an expansive selection of sports markets, each categorized into tabs for easy navigation. FOX Bet has a horizontally scrollable list for its promotions and daily offerings prominently displayed on the homepage.
FOX Bet has multiple deposit options that include:
Credit-debit card: Visa or MasterCard. Customers will be required to enter the CVV code on back of card after they’ve entered all other pertinent card information to complete their deposit. Not all financial institutions allow for this, so be sure to check with your card issuer.
Bank transfer: Have the “Bill Pay” function established on your online banking account then use this option after you select “bank transfer” through FOX Bet as your deposit method.
PayPal: Before selecting this deposit method through FOX Bet, have your PayPal account linked to your bank account. Once that is set up you can choose this option and will be redirected to log into your PayPal account to then fund your sportsbook account from PayPal funds.
Skrill: Another e-wallet. Create a Skrill account before using this as a deposit method. Customers can fund their Skrill account via Visa, Mastercard or bank transfers. Once Skrill is established and funded, you can fund your FOX Bet account.
PayNearMe: To use this option you'll enter your deposit amount along with the email or phone number you used during your FOX Bet account creation. Once you submit this info you'll receive a printable "payslip" or have verification sent to your mobile phone. This can then be taken to a 7-Eleven, CVS or Family Dollar, along with the cash amount you are depositing, and it will be processed then credited to your online account.
There is a minimum deposit of $10 for each method. FOX Bet does not state maximum amounts for deposit methods. Online deposit transactions are virtually instantaneous. Some banks still restrict using your money to fund an online gambling account despite FOX Bet, in this case, being licensed and regulated.
The FOX Bet withdrawal policy states its only methods available are bank transfer, PayPal and Skrill, though you can also go to a cashier cage at an affiliated brick-and-mortar casino or sportsbook. If you have used any of these three options to make a deposit, select that same option for withdrawals for quickest results.
Withdrawals through the bank transfer option will be processed by FOX Bet within an hour. After your withdrawal has been processed, it will take 3-10 business days to receive your winnings. For PayPal and Skrill, your withdrawal request will be processed immediately and the funds should hit your account within minutes.
To withdraw, click “Cashier” and select “Withdraw.” Here you will then enter a withdrawal amount. Note that any “bonus” funds are not eligible for withdrawal.
The FOX Bet welcome offer to new customers includes a $500 risk-free bet for the first wager placed after account creation. The wager must be made on odds no lower than -200 (i.e. -190, -180, etc. are acceptable). Bonus funds should your first bet lose will be credited to your account with 24 hours of the bet settling and be equal to the amount you wagered, up to $500. There is a 1x playthrough requirement on bonus funds before any winnings from them are eligible for withdrawal.
In addition to the welcome offer, FOX Bet runs promotions that entail free bets and boosted odds along with a bonus tied to social media interaction with FOX Bet. Check out our FOX Bet promo page for the codes and offers.
The FOX Bet app features the components of the desktop sportsbook reconfigured into a compact presentation. We found during our FOX bet app review that the bet slip loads fast and timely, especially for live-betting options, and has smooth navigation overall for selecting markets and making bets. Toggling between available tabs is fast and pages populate with speed on the FOX betting app. Promotions can be found easily for those looking to enhance their bets.
New Jersey and Pennsylvania customers can switch to the casino and poker features from the tabs along the bottom of the screen. The FOX Bet mobile app is downloadable for iOS and Android and installs to your device in reasonable time.
Bets placed through the FOX Bet sportsbook count toward your “Stars” account - the customer loyalty program from the Stars Group, which runs the FOX Bet platform.
For every dollar you wager on FOX Bet, 1.7 Star Rewards points are credited to your loyalty account. These rewards points then go toward a progress bar. Once a progress bar is completed, you unlock a “chest” with personalized prizes such as redeemable Star Coins at the Star Rewards store, cash rebates or perks tailored to the markets you play.
The best option to withdraw funds is through PayPal for immediate transfer. Customers also can check on promotions available to participate in ongoing contests.
FOX Bet currently offers online sports betting in three states: Colorado, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and looks to further expand its operation as more states hop on board with legalized sports betting. Casino and poker play also are available through this all-in-one gaming site for players in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
FOX Bet's Colorado sportsbook launch on May 19, 2020 came about two weeks after sports betting went live in the state. Players in Colorado can participate in all the FOX Bet sportsbook offers through its desktop and app but won't have access to online casino or poker play as neither are legalized and regulated in the state.
Customers in New Jersey can play FOX Bet's online sportsbook along with casino and poker platforms. The NJ online sportsbook launch in September 2019, FOX Bet's first stake in the United States, was achieved through a partnership between FOX Sports and The Stars Group. This partnership made history as the first time a U.S. media company put its name on a sportsbook.
FOX Bet quickly established itself as a sportsbook in PA shortly after its New Jersey launch. FOX Bet Pennsylvania provides players an online sportsbook in addition to its online casino and poker. Mount Airy Casino houses a retail FOX Bet sportsbook.
FOX Bet players have access to all the major professional and collegiate sports markets in the United States, as well as popular international leagues for basketball, baseball, hockey and especially soccer. Betting options across these markets are plentiful beyond traditional wagers like point spread, moneyline and total points. The FOX Bet sports betting site goes beyond just US leagues, offering basketball and soccer betting for leagues in Europe and beyond, too.
Often FOX Bet will have special promotions specific to the state, such as profit 5x your winnings if the Philadelphia Flyers score a goal in a given game (imagine something similar for Colorado and New Jersey sports markets). We found during our FOX Bet review that it also had multiple contests for customers to win prizes during a specific sports season. Because FOX Bet is a product of FOX Sports, some promotions are tied to the advice of an analyst contracted by Fox, such as: Colin Cowherd's 5 picks in the NFL – Boosted odds if you follow his picks and they go on to win.
FOX Bet features state-specific teams on its daily “popular” parlays, displayed on the home screen. These betting options include parlays such as the Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets and Colorado Rockies all to win, if all three are playing on the same day. The same groupings are true for a state’s other major professional and college sports teams given the season.
We found during our review of FOX Bet, that the odds offered through its online sportsbook are competitive and comparable to other top sportsbooks. FOX Bet supplies point spreads, moneylines and total points and also provides game and player prop bets. Almost every available game has a "more wagers" tab where customers can access sometimes hundreds of additional bet options within a specific game.
Great online sportsbooks, like FOX Bet, have features for their customers that go beyond mainstream options. We found doing this sportsbook review that FOX Bet delivers in a big way with the following features:
Live betting, also known as in-play wagering, allows bettors to continue to wager on a contest after it has started. Using a computer algorithm, FOX Bet updates spreads, moneylines, totals and even prop bets on a large amount of games it offers.
This gives bettors the opportunity to wager as games are in progress. Live betting on FOX Bet is exciting because you can score more profitable odds as games unfold (if, for instance, a favorite falls behind early). The odds, however, change quickly so its best to live bet during breaks in game action. It's one of the best things about betting on-the-go.
This option allows customers to cash out on bets before the game is settled, which provides more flexibility with wagers. With the cash-out option, customers don't have to be tied to a bet until the bitter end so they can walk away ahead of time with a profit or recoup money before a bet ultimately loses.
This a great way to manage your bankroll and either protect from a backdoor cover or mitigate a bad bet. Once you place a bet, the “My Bets” tab will show if the wager is cash-out eligible. Usually, promotions and odds boost bets are not.
This option can be found on the left side of the screen and is updated daily. Odds boosts give customers the opportunity to profit more on their wagers through enhanced odds. Transparent sportsbooks such as FOX Bet will show the original odds compared to the boosted odds. For example: Nikola Jokic to record a triple double: Odds boosted from +140 to +200. FOX Bet does a great job showcasing local teams in its odds boosts.
Some online sportsbooks allow customers to create their own same-game parlays. FOX Bet also offers this feature and has premade same-game parlays to browse without exerting excess brain power. A “trending bets” section featured on the homepage will sometimes shows popular bets from the same game to give customers a gauge on what to play.
If you can't find the bet you want you can tweet @FOXBet with your proposal, including the hashtag #CustomBet, and FOX Bet may add it to its "Trending #CustomBet" section. This is just another example of how this operator wants to engage with its customers.
