After striking a partnership with Hard Rock Atlantic City, bet365 moved quickly to launch its first US online sportsbook in New Jersey. Per New Jersey law, online sportsbooks must have a land-based partner, hence the need to team with an entity like Hard Rock. bet365, which is licensed and regulated by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, has arrived just in time for the NFL season, too.
|Wide sports library||Site aesthetic does look rushed|
|Numerous banking options|
bet365 offers a 100 percent initial deposit match in the form of bet credits, for any amount ranging from $10-$100. You may deposit and bet more than $100, but it will be capped at $100.
To get access to these bet credits, you must place a qualifying wager, which, after examining the terms and conditions, appears to be wagering on an event with odds of -500 or greater. For those unaware, -500 is quite a significant figure. That is considered a heavy favorite.
When it comes to registering for an account on a sportsbook, we are used to seeing it broken up into numerous steps. Not with bet365. Here it’s all on one page.
This is the information they ask for:
This may sound like a lot of information, but as a licensed entity in the state of New Jersey, this information is needed to properly identify you.
bet365 support a wide range of payment methods for deposits and withdrawals, and during our review options such as Visa, Mastercard, Skrill and PaySafe were all available. Please check the bet356 site for details of what payment methods are currently available in New Jersey.
All of the deposit methods are performed instantly. In using PayPal, we can confirm that we received our winnings back well under the 24-hour mark.
Only available on desktop right now in this iteration (there is a free betting app, but not real money as of yet), we can tell that this site was maybe a bit rushed. Don’t get us wrong, it’s not horrible, I mean, everything is there for you to browse through, it’s just not as visually appealing and everything seems fairly standard.
There are little things that should be addressed. For instance, the “bet365” logo is in the upper-left hand corner of the screen. When we see that, that usually means this is a clickable logo to return to the home screen. However, that’s not the case as of yet.
On the left-hand side of the screen you’ll see the numerous different sports to bet from. They have an excellent library. In the center of the screen there are different logos depicting different sports that you can filter through and it will only display those sports and the odds for the games in that respective sport.
At the top-right of the screen, you can change the language and even how the odds are displayed, which is not something we have commonly seen with New Jersey sportsbooks, and this is more so done internationally, but it is a nice little touch just in case there are tourists visiting or something like that.
They have a great offering, now if they can execute visually, they’ll have the total package.
Although they are a new sportsbook, bet365 has their odds relatively industry standard. In looking at the NFL preseason odds, they are right on par with even top competitors such as FanDuel. Odds are not at all an issue at bet365 and we can confidently say that.
bet365 offers three notable betting features: Live Betting, Cash Out and Live Streaming. Live Betting is just how it sounds. You can wager on sporting events that are already in progress. Depending on how the game is going at the time you are thinking of wagering, the odds could be vastly different than prior to the start of the contest.
bet365 offers a cash out and partial cash out option. Say you place a bet on a game and it’s not going the way you wanted it to. You can cash out and try to redeem as much cash as possible.
Lastly, live streaming is a service we don’t see offered as much as you’d think. Now, we’re not sure exactly which sports this covers, but at the time of this writing, they offer plenty of soccer and even one MLB game, which is between the San Francisco Giants and Chicago Cubs.
In the upper-right hand corner of the screen, there is a button for “Services”. From there, click on “Help”. The “Contact” button is here and bet365 lists on their methods of customer support.
Seeing a mailing address is not something we commonly see displayed. Of course, these other methods are much faster, but offering it is a nice touch indeed.
Way at the top of the screen, there is a Responsible Gaming logo. This is a clickable logo. You are greeted by a quite line of text pertaining to if you think you may have a gambling problem, and lists the 1-800-GAMBLER hotline.
As you go down, there are five separate prompts for setting deposit limits, spending limits, session limits, a time out feature, and self-exclusion.
They also list preventative measures to protect minors and other organizations you can reach out to. bet365 definitely cares about this subject matter. No question.
We keep bringing this up, but if bet365 can improve the feel and aesthetic of the site, this is not a sportsbook that should be overlooked. They have great sports offers, excellent promotions. With the NFL season coming up, we definitely recommend checking out bet365.VISIT BET365 SPORTS
