BetAmerica, owned by Churchill Downs. is looking to establish themselves as a true competitor in the increasingly competitive online casino market in New Jersey. Powered by SBTech and backed by a storied company such as Churchill Downs Inc., BetAmerica looks set up for long-term success.
Let’s see how it’s panning out so far and how its online casino offerings compares to other online casino sites in New Jersey.
|Great library of games||Definitely more catered to the sportsbook (lack of promotions, etc.)|
|Generous welcome offer|
|Backed by a reputable company|
Using the promo code “PLAY500” players will receive a 25 percent deposit bonus up to $500. This is a pretty large monetary amount for a welcome offer. To make it even better, the playthrough amount required is just 10x. We have seen as high as 40x, so 10x for $500 in potential deposit bonuses is outstanding. So, if a player deposits $2000, they will get $500 in bonus money, but in order to access it, the player will need to bet $25,000 on the site (deposit + bonus multiplied by 10x).
The registration process at BetAmerica is a little tedious, but overall, it’s not bad and is still fast to complete.
Across three steps, players will need to give information such as their names, address, email, date of birth, security questions, and last four digits of your social security number.
Not allowing for players to see all of the information on one page is something that should be re-examined, though, because if new players can see on one page what the information they need to give up, they’ll be more apt to do so, especially before asking the social security question on step one.
BetAmerica is available on desktop, mobile web browsing and Android and iOS apps.
For iOS devices, the app be downloaded directly from the Apple Store.
On desktop, at the top of the page, there are links to the promotions, live casino, blackjack and high limit options.
Below this, there are links to the game options with a search bar option.
In the order of the games on that menu, they are listed with graphics attached, starting with featured games, followed by slots and the rest of the available games.
There are also filter options for most popular, A-Z, newest and the game providers. These options are available for each game type. It’s a simple layout, but it’s effective as there is no extra fat—it just gets to the point.
The BetAmerica mobile app is almost a carbon copy to the desktop version.
At the top, there is a drop-down menu with links to the sportsbook, live casino, casino and promotions. At the bottom of the app, there is a home page button, live sport bets page, casino, and open bets.
The app is definitely catered more to the sportsbook, but the casino is there and everything is laid out the exact same way as desktop in terms of game menus and options.
BetAmerica has an extensive game library. Games are sorted by type and have the amount of game offerings readily available. Below is a list of all of the games and the quantity. Some of the games overlap with other game types, but either way, there is a healthy amount.
BetAmerica works with Everi, Ezugi, IGT, Konami, NetEnt and SNFT-Bally to bring the library to life.
There are also live dealer casino games as well. In total, 11 games. These include, Blackjack, Baccarat, Roulette and Hold ‘Em.
Unfortunately, the betting limits on each game are not readily available for players to find. The best way to find them is to play the games themselves as they differ so much.
The only available information is that certain blackjack games have a $1 minimum. Other than that, none of the games have the minimum and maximum limits listed on the games.
Like the betting limits, return to player percentage statistics are not information that can be found on the BetAmerica site.
Return to player percentage (RTP) is the percentage of money that will be paid back to players over time. So, say the RTP is 90 percent. That means that, over time, as players bet $100, they will receive back $90.
Generally speaking, though, you can expect the figure on slot games to be 95 percent or higher. That’s a percentage we usually see.
Right now, there is no VIP Program available for casino players at BetAmerica.
BetAmerica offers multiple forms of customer support.
Toward the top of the page, there is a clickable “RG” logo. This will take you directly to the Responsible Gaming section of BetAmerica.
Here, gambling addiction is discussed. There is information regarding “warning signs”. Also, there are things you can do in-house at BetAmerica including setting limits on deposits, spending, session and losses. This will allow you to protect yourself if you feel as if you are having a gambling issue.
BetAmerica also supplies links to organizations and charities that can be contacted for assistance if needed, too.
This section is wrought with plenty of information and BetAmerica aims to protect its users as best as possible.
Let’s call a spade a spade: BetAmerica is a sportsbook first and foremost. You can just tell. However, the casino, even though it’s second fiddle to the sportsbook is still better than most standalone online casinos. There are tons of games and an excellent welcome offer.
As BetAmerica expands, BetAmerica should grow in size and awareness as this is an excellent product overall.
