Actor Brad Garrett Hosts ‘Celebrity Home Game’ Poker Event

Brad Garrett, the former co-star of Everybody Loves Raymond, is partnering with Zynga Poker to set up a juicy game at his house in Southern California.

The comedian/actor will host a special “Celebrity Home Game” as part of a sweepstakes beginning Monday. Players can gain entry over the next two weeks playing Daily and Hot Streak challenges in Zynga Poker’s Texas Hold’em games. The game is available as a free download in the App Store and Google Play.

“What I love about Zynga Poker is that you can practice your game without having to worry about your ‘tells’ or poker table etiquette – it’s just about the cards,” Garrett said in a news release announcing the event. “I can make a sincere pledge to the winners of this sweepstakes – when you’re at my Home Game, we’ll be playing by these same rules. Check your poker face at the door and get ready to have some fun.”

Two winners will be invited to join Garrett and “a full house of his A-list friends at a no-stakes poker game.”

Garrett Has Serious Poker Chops

It might be a casual game, but Garrett is an accomplished player and participates in the semi-pro ranks. He’s played in the World Series of Poker main event and appeared on Bravo’s Celebrity Poker Showdown and the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship.

Garrett is considered one of the best celebrity players around and has some serious table presence with a bellowing voice and 6-foot-9 frame.

He’s also not afraid to mix it up and went after controversial pro Phil Hellmuth with some serious trash talk during a 2017 episode of Poker Night in America.

Garrett is best known for playing the role of brother Robert Barone on Everybody Loves Raymond, which netted him three Emmy Awards for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. He got his start as a stand-up comic and now owns a comedy club in Las Vegas.

Zynga Poker will donate up to $100,000 to Garrett’s Maximum Hope Foundation as part of Celebrity Home Game.
