FanDuel Adds Official NFL Data Content to Genius Sports Partnership

The FanDuel Group and Genius Sports have reached an agreement to provide official NFL data, content, media products, and trading services.

Genius Sports is a digital sports content, technology, and integrity services company.

This deal comes mere months after FanDuel Sportsbook was chosen to be an official sports betting partner for the NFL in April 2021.

Around the same time as this, Genius Sports also became the NFL’s exclusive live streaming partner and distributor for real-time official play-by-play stats.

This is also when FanDuel and Genius first started working together, because, under Genius’s deal with the NFL, Genius provided sportsbook partners such as FanDuel with access to Next Gen Stats, a proprietary set of data.

FanDuel is one of the largest mobile betting operators in the United States. With this deal, FanDuel will implement Genius Sports’ NFL offering. Genius Sports also represents the advertising inventory with the NFL across the NFL’s digital platforms.

With these assets on hand and the NFL’s official data feeds, this will create a new value for FanDuel “across the full player lifecycle from player acquisition to pre-match and in-game betting, through to long-term customer retention.”

Other Partners

While the National Football League is the main component of this deal, FanDuel will also be able to access Genius Sports’ official data-powered in-play content across multiple sports and thousands of events.

These include sports such as NASCAR, the English Premier League, LigaMX, Argentinian and Colombian soccer, and “hundreds of other leagues and federations worldwide” that Genius Sports is partnered with.
