Indiana recently saw its total sports handle more than double in August, seeing a 138% increase month over month. The state’s sportsbooks had $169,018,238 in total sports handle for August compared to $70,876,622 during July, according to figures released from the state. Sports betting revenue in August was up 47.7% to $9,834,881 in August compared to $6,658,465 in July.

Indiana celebrated its one-year anniversary with an active sports betting market on Sept. 1 and saw its total handle eclipse $1 billion in July. Gov. Eric Holcomb placed the first legal wager in the state when the sports betting market officially opened.

To celebrate its launch in the state, theScore Bet is offering bettors a $100 Free Bet when they make any first wager. In addition, people can also get up to $1,000 in cash back on bets over their first 60 days.

The announcement from theScore Bet comes a day after one of the state’s favorite sports announced its start date, with college basketball set to begin on Nov. 25.
