Best NBA Playoff Prop Bets & Odds You Should Back in 2019

Scoring efficiency reached all-time highs during the 2018-19 season, meaning we should be in store for some historic individual performances in the postseason. Here are our favorite prop bets available for fans of NBA betting in the 2019 NBA Playoffs, including several for first-round series.

2019 NBA Finals MVP Odds

PlayerMVP Odds
Kevin Durant+200
Stephen Curry+230
Giannis Anteokounmpo+900
James Harden+1100
Klay Thompson+1200
DeMarcus Cousins+1400
Kawhi Leonard+1400
Draymond Green+1600
Eric Bledsoe+2000
Joel Embiid+2200
Khris Middleton+2700
Kyrie Irving+3400
Chris Paul+3400

Best Bet: Giannis Antetokounmpo (+900)

Yes, Steph Curry will be gunning for his first Finals MVP and the Warriors are far and away the favorites. But let’s live a little. The Bucks were the NBA’s No. 3 offense and No. 1 defense, and the last two teams to accomplish that (Golden State in 2015 and 2017) won the title.

The Bucks have clicked this season, with first year coach Mike Budenholzer putting all the pieces together perfectly to create a 60-win team without any weaknesses.

They match up well defensively with the Warriors, which is always the key to beating Golden State. They’ve got the MVP in Antetokounmpo and the versatility and depth to match what the Warriors love to do in the postseason.

So instead of being boring and choosing a Curry or a Durant, we’ll pick Antetokounmpo and bet his excellent +900 odds with 888Sport to win the NBA Finals MVP.

Top Scorer in NBA Playoffs Odds

James Harden+1100
Kawhi Leonard+1200
Klay Thompson+1400
Joel Embiid+2000

Steph Curry

Best Bet: Steph Curry (+175)

It’s not easy picking Warriors for these total numbers prop bets. There’s always a chance that they sweep the Western Conference (12 games) and win the Finals in 5 games.

They’d play just 17 games, compared to a team like the Celtics who may play two separate 7-game series and a six-game series before bowing out in the Eastern Conference Finals, but they played 20 games.

Still, the Warriors have looked beatable at times this season so they’re likely to see a few six- or even seven-game series. And they’re still our pick to win the NBA Finals, so Curry is a safe bet.

It’s been well-documented that Curry still doesn’t have a Finals MVP to his name, so this postseason could be the one where Curry shuts up the last few doubters remaining. Bet on Curry at +175 with 888Sport.

Top Rebounder in NBA Playoffs Odds

Player Odds
Giannis Anteokounmpo-162
Draymond Green+400
Kevin Durant+1000
Joel Embiid+1000
Nikola Jokic+1000
LaMarcus Aldridge+1600
Clint Capella+1600
Russell Westbrook+1600

 Giannis Anteokounmpo

Best Bet: Giannis Antetokounmpo (-162)

The Bucks will be playing well into May and potentially June in a Finals matchup against the Warriors. Antetokounmpo is going to do some seriously heavy lifting for this team, and his rebounding numbers will only increase from the 12.5 he averaged this regular season.

Mike Budenholzer will want him to grab the ball and go in transition, so expect the Greek Freak to be roaming around the rim all postseason. He’s our pick at -162 on 888Sport.

Top Assists in NBA Playoffs Odds

Player Odds
Draymond Green+175
Kyle Lowry+275
Russell Westbrook+400
Steph Curry+500
Chris Paul+800
James Harden+1000
Giannis Antetokounmpo+1200

 Russell Westbrook

Best Bet: Russell Westbrook (+400)

The Thunder positioned themselves well for the postseason, which simply means that they avoided the Warriors (and Rockets) in Round 2. Because of that, they’ve got an outside chance to advance as far as the Western Conference Finals; they’d need to beat Portland in Round 1 and then the winner of Denver/San Antonio in Round 2.

Westbrook led the NBA Playoffs in assists per game in both 2016 and 2017 and is playing at an incredible rate right now, averaging an incredible 13.8 assists per game over his last eight. He may not even need to get to the Western Conference Finals to wind up leading the playoffs in total assists. Bet him at +400 with 888Sport.

Best NBA Playoff First-Round Prop Bets

Looking for a quicker payoff? These five first-round prop bets offered by PointsBet might be just the ticket.

Damian Lillard: Over 180 points vs. Thunder

Perhaps no player will be asked to do more of his team’s scoring in Round 1 than Lillard. With Jusuf Nurkic out for the year and C.J. McCollum still working back into form from a knee injury suffered last month, Lillard will carry an incredible scoring load in Round 1 against the Thunder.

Portland will be able to take a game or two at home, drawing this series out to six or perhaps even seven games. That makes Lillard a good bet at -110 with PointsBet.

James Harden: Over 205 points vs. Jazz

Harden put together a historically good scoring season, averaging 36.1 points and 4.8 3-pointers for the 53-win Rockets. Though he’s had his serious struggles in the postseason over the course of his career, he’s a different player now and was exceptional last season, too.

Utah could force this series to five or six games, and Harden is capable of going off for 50 points at a moment’s notice. That 205-point mark is a lot for any player, but Harden has it in him. Bet on it at -110 with PointsBet.

Donovan Mitchell: Over 140 points vs. Rockets

Mitchell was the breakout star of the first round last year, averaging 28.5 points per game in a six-game upset over the Oklahoma City Thunder. This time around he gets another matchup with a past MVP in Harden and the Rockets, who admittedly have been playing excellent defense over the last six weeks.

But Mitchell averaged 23.3 points in four games against Houston. He’ll certainly be asked to take on a larger scoring role in the postseason, and the Jazz are good enough to push this series to at least five games, and probably six. Mitchell looks like a good bet at -110 with PointsBet to pass 140 points for the series.

Kyrie Irving: Over 140 points vs. Pacers

No one is more ready to show out in the playoffs than Kyrie Irving, who watched from the sidelines last season with an ailing knee. He’ll be playing with a chip on his shoulder for those who have forgotten just what a dynamic scorer he is in the postseason. He could completely take over this series.

This has the feel of a long series thanks to Boston’s inconsistencies, but Irving isn’t going to have any trouble scoring. He feels like a lock to go over 140 points. Bet on it at -110 with PointsBet.

Joel Embiid: Over 175 points vs. Nets

It’s time for Joel Embiid to put his money where his mouth is. He dubbed himself the most dominant player in the league last month and now he’ll have a chance to do it when it matters most. He should be at full-strength against the Nets in Round 1.

This could be and should be a monster series for Embiid, meaning he’ll top 175 points in Round 1, and you can bet on it with PointsBet.
