Part of the Rush Street Interactive and Kambi lineage, BetRivers Sportsbook has officially launched their online affiliate to their Pittsburgh casino. Upon visiting the site, you may experience some deja vu, as you’ll notice it is incredibly similar to SugarHouse, as they too are part of the Rush Street family. Now that BetRivers is up and running, let’s dive in and see what they have to offer.
|Excellent welcome bonus||Perhaps too similar to other Rush Products|
|Numerous ways to bank||No PayPal yet|
The welcome bonus over at BetRivers is straight and to the point: Make a deposit of at least $10 using the promo code “250MATCH” and you will receive a 100 percent match up to $250. In order to access the bonus funds, you must complete a 1x playthrough. Meaning, if you deposit $50, you will get a bonus $50 and in order to have access to that bonus $50, you must wager at least $50 on the site.
For those who have an iRush Rewards or Casino4Fun account, you can simply sync your information from those sites and be ready to roll at BetRivers. However, for new players, there is a registration process, but it’s fast and simple.
All you need to do is provide information such as your email, name, address, last four of your social security number, date of birth, gender, mobile phone number and create two security questions.
While this may sound like a lot of personal information, remember, as a licensed operator, they require this information to verify you as a person. And honestly, if they didn’t that’s a tell-tale sign that something isn’t right.
While there is no PayPal yet, there very well could be in the future. BetRivers is still fresh, so give them time to get acclimated. When referring to a cash cage, this means going to their Pittsburgh-area physical location and making transactions there. For PayNearMe, this is done make cash transactions at retailers such as 7-Eleven.
Without iOS functionality at the moment, BetRivers is able to offer desktop and Android functionality in the interim. In using both of those platforms, you will find that they are essentially the same, minus a few scaling choices on mobile to compress everything to the screen.
At the top of the page there are areas where you can find information on the iRush Rewards Program, the current promotions and their help center, which is filled with plenty of valuable information for traversing the site. To the right of that is where you login and can register for an account, too.
As we’ve mentioned numerous times, the site is similar to SugarHouse on desktop in that the sports are all listed on the side of the website, as well as in the middle, and they list the different games for those different sports, in order. Also with the sports on the side is their live betting and jackpot parlay options, which we will cover shortly.
Lastly, the live chat option is in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen, with the direct Android download link at the bottom of the page with links to BetRivers’ social media accounts. We did not run into a single buffering or lag issue during our entire time using BetRivers.
Markets offered for the sports mentioned above include:
As a new online sportsbook, BetRivers should be doing all they can to compete with their competitors in Pennsylvania, and they definitely do so when it comes to their odds. Not only are their odds right on par with their competitors, but they offer some unique features like their jackpot parlay to try to offer something outside of the industry norm.
As with every sportsbook, BetRivers has an interactive betslip that pops up as soon as you make a selection. Upon clicking on your desired bet, a screen pops up from the bottom of the page, where you can wager a certain amount of money to win a certain amount of money (depending on odds) and place the bet there.
BetRivers offers three features: Live betting, cash out and jackpot parlay. Live betting is for betting on contests that are currently in progress. The odds reflect what is happening in the game. So, if the before the game the Boston Red Sox were -200 favorites to win, but in the game they are losing 7-2 in the eighth inning, the odds will likely be an outrageous number in the “+” margin.
Cash out is a feature that allows players to cash out their bets while games are in progress. This could be because a game is not going the way you meant for it to and you want to recoup some potential losses and salvage whatever you can.
Lastly, the jackpot parlay is a set of contests, ranging from three-to-eight, that are determined by BetRivers. Here, there are enhanced odds to take these, but you do not get to choose what’s what. The amount of money you can bet on these differs depending on the amount of contests you wish to include in the parlay.
Being a new sportsbook, BetRivers doesn’t have any promotional offerings right now outside of their iRush Rewards Program. Here, players can earn points which can be redeemed at their bonus store. You will climb different tiers, depending on the points you accumulate and earn additional perks.
Found in the bottom left-hand corner of the page, you will see their live chat option. However, another way to find their customer support is to click on the help center at the top of the page and there you will find the hours for both their email support and live chat, which is from 9:30 a.m. - 2 a.m. eastern time.
Also found in the help center is a section dedicated to Responsible Gaming. Here, BetRivers offer things such as cooldown periods, session limits and deposit limits, as well as goes over different warning signs and gives information on different organizations and hotlines you can contact for help.
Overall, it’s safe to say we enjoyed our time at BetRivers. Being so similar to SugarHouse, we were able to explore the page with ease and we feel like Rush Street really has a nice mold here for their current and future online sportsbook offerings.
