Under parent company The Kindred Group, Unibet is expanding its reach in the United States and expanding into Pennsylvania in the online space. Unibet PA also has a brick-and-mortar partner in Mohegan Sun Pocono, where Unibet PA runs the sportsbook at the physical location.
Unibet has a long and storied history in the online gambling space, with the headquarters being in the country of Malta, which is a country that houses many online gambling licenses for casinos internationally.
Let’s take a closer look at what Unibet PA will have to offer and if it can compete with the other handful of online sportsbooks in the state.
|Longevity in the industry||Few promotional offers in addition to the welcome offer|
|Excellent welcome offer|
|Simple, yet pleasing aesthetic|
Unibet PA offers two things to new players: Free credit to use on the site as well as a risk-free wager.
Starting with the free credit, it’s simple, really: Sign up for an account and you will receive two $10 credits that can be used on any event on the site.
Next, the risk-free bet is up to $250. With this, make an initial deposit and wager. If your wager is between $10-$250 and you lose, within 72 hours you account will be credited back with the wagered amount.
Registering at Unibet PA is fast, seamless and not stressful whatsoever. After clicking the “Join Now” button, you are brought to the registration screen. Here, the process is broken into three steps and asks for the following information:
Managing your funds is quite easy to do at Unibet PA. The minimum amount is $10 for deposits as well as withdrawals. This is similar to other bookmakers in the state. As for processing times, deposits and processed instantly, while withdrawals can take up to 5 days to complete.
While debit/credit card options are available, Unibet PA recommends using ACH methods as some banks may block online gaming transactions. Examples of these banks are Bank of America, Capital One, JPMorgan, Chase and Santander.

Unibet PA will be offered not only desktop, but if it matches up with its New Jersey predecessor, it will also be available on mobile web browsers and for both Android and iOS devices.
All of these platforms are essentially the same, with the only difference being the placement of the sports offerings. On desktop they are displayed prominently on the left side of the screen, whereas on mobile applications, it’s still on the left, but just in a collapsible drop-down menu.
On the site, there are links to the sportsbook, online casino, a page that has basic start up information and promotional offers at the top of the page.
Below this, to the left, as mentioned, the sports are listed and in the center of the screen are live betting options and other events that will be happening in the near future.
Once you select the sport of your choice, whatever games Unibet PA has available will populate the screen with odds for moneyline, totals and the spread.
As mentioned in the pros and cons section, the site is super simplistic, but this aesthetic is pleasing as it doesn’t complicate anything graphically and focuses heavily on the content of the site rather than the flair.
What’s especially nice about Unibet PA is that the odds are on par with the competition, if not slightly better in some departments. For example, in comparing with DraftKings PA, Unibet PA actually had some moneyline odds that were slightly better.
For betting features, Unibet PA offers both live betting and a cash out option. Additionally, Unibet PA has an excellent and interactive betslip.
With live betting, it’s like any other kind of sports betting, but instead it’s wagering on an event already in progress, with odds shifting as the game progresses.
The cash out feature can be used on a bet that is in progress. With this, whether you’re in a good position or bad, you can exit a bet early if you choose. You will not get the full amount of potential winnings if your wager is winning, but if it is losing, it is also a way to mitigate a total loss.
Covering the betslip, it appears in the bottom left-hand-corner of the screen after making a selection. Here, you can place a wager on just one event, or, if you have multiple legs, create a parlay or wager on round robins. On whatever event you chose, on the betslip, there is an “X” to the left of it where you can cancel that leg, or there is a “Clear Betslip” button to erase everything completely.
In addition to the welcome offer, Unibet PA has just two other promotional offerings.
While this may be less than some other online sportsbooks, believe it or not, there are actually plenty of online sportsbooks that don’t have any promotions whatsoever.
Here are some examples of the promotions that were going on at the time of writing:
Adjacent to the “Join Now” and “Login” buttons at the top of the screen, you will find a “?” logo. Clicking on this will bring you directly to the support page. In addition to the usual FAQ section of online sportsbooks, Unibet PA also offers 24/7 live chat, email and telephone support.
At the top of the homepage, you will find a green logo with “RG” on it. Here, through this clickable link, you will be brought directly to the Responsible Gaming section of Unibet PA.
Not only does Unibet PA list different organizations that could assist with the issue, but Unibet PA has also made a conscientious effort to add to that, implementing in-house systems that players can enable on their own if they desire. These include things like setting limits on deposits, session times, spending and also things such as self-exclusion if you need to take time away.
While there may not be a plethora of promotional offerings (just two in addition to the welcome offer), Unibet PA has all the tools to compete in Pennsylvania with the DraftKings and the FanDuel’s of the world.
The welcome offer is arguably more enticing than those two sportsbooks and Unibet PA has mostly everything those sportsbooks have, too. Pennsylvania residents are getting another top level sportsbook in the state.
