A thrilling light heavyweight fight takes center stage in the UFC this Saturday night, as Nikita Krylov and Ryan Spann meet in the octagon with a combined record of 46 finishes.
Ahead of the return of the legendary Jon Jones next week, we’re treated to another Fight Night filled with potential fireworks. Here are our picks to help in your UFC betting this weekend.
Nikita Krylov vs. Ryan Spann
No. 6 and No. 8 in the light heavyweight rankings will meet as Ryan Spann looks for the biggest win in his career against Nikita Krylov.
Krylov is the betting favorite in this fight and he has so far only managed to lose to either former champions (Glover Teixeira and Jan BÅ‚achowicz), a light heavyweight title contender (Magomed Ankalaev), and a submission guru (Paul Craig).
The Ukrainian has since responded with a two-fight winning run, as he defeated Alexander Gustafsson with a sensational knockout in London last July, before then beating Volkan Oezdemir at UFC 280 in October.
What makes this fight so intriguing is the submission battle. Spann has so far secured 12 of his 21 wins via submission, just as Krylov has managed to get 14 from his 29 wins.
A further six knockouts for Spann and 12 for Krylov means only nine of the combined 66 fights between the two have gone the distance.
However, the fight to go the distance is now rightfully priced at -1100, so we're heading for either fighter to win by submission.

Andre Muniz vs. Brendan Allen
It’s a huge fight between André Muniz and Brendan Allen in the middleweight division this weekend with both fighters on winning runs in the UFC.
Muniz is the favorite heading into this one, and he is currently on a nine-fight win streak. In fact, the Brazilian has won his first five fights in the UFC so far. Within this time, he has managed to rack up two decision wins and three submission victories.
Allen has so far managed to lose only twice in the UFC, and both times, we have seen him lose against fighters currently ranked in the middleweight rankings.
It is a tougher fight to call than the sportsbooks suggest, but we are going with the betting favorite to win.

Augusto Sakai vs. Don'tale Mayes
Two huge heavyweights looking to make a name for themselves in the division meet here, as Augusto Sakai looks for his first win in four when he takes on Don'tale Mayes.
Sadly, after a lot of hype, Sakai has rapidly declined in the past three years. The Brazilian burst onto the UFC scene with wins over notable names like Chase Sherman, Andrei Arlovski, Marcin Tybura and Blagoy Ivanov. It did look as if we had a new contender on the map, but Sakai has gone on to lose to Alistair Overeem, Jairzinho Rozenstruik, Tai Tuivasa and Sergey Spivak all via KO/TKO.
Mayes has secured two wins in a row over Josh Parisian and Roque Martinez after losing his first two UFC fights.
Sakai has a much easier opponent here, in contrast to recent fights. We’re not sure if he gets the win, however, so we’re heading for the fight to not go the distance.

Tatiana Suarez vs. Montana De La Rose
After 1,358 days away, Tatiana Suarez returns to the UFC against Montana De La Rosa.
Not much analysis is needed for this one, as Suarez has been set up to win on her return by the UFC, with her now -850 to get her hand raised on Saturday.
Suarez also comes into this fight with an 8-0 unbeaten record and we think her incredible grappling pedigree will be the difference here.
Tatiana Suarez by submission is +300 with FanDuel.
Mike Malott vs. Yohan Lainesse
An 8-1 fighter meets with a man holding a 9-1 record further down the card. This will also be just the second fight in the UFC for Mike Mallot and the third for Yohan Lainesse.
Mallot won his UFC debut with a fantastic TKO win against Mickey Gall in round one last year. This also put him on a four-fight win streak, which means the Canadian has not lost in MMA since 2014. Mallot has 50% of his wins via KO/TKO and 50% by submission, as he has only gone the distance once in his 10 professional MMA fights.
Lainesse beat Darien Weeks via split decision back in September, and this came just five months after losing to Gabe Green on his UFC debut. In truth, it’s not looking good for Lainesse ahead of this one.

Erick Gonzalez vs. Trevor Peek
It's a UFC debutant taking on a man winless in the organization that kicks off the main card this weekend.
Trevor Peek has amassed a sensational 7-0 unbeaten record in his three years in MMA and has finished all of them by KO/TKO. Only Ben Brewer over in AFC and Malik Lewis in the Contender Series has managed to get past the first round with Peek.
Erick Gonzalez has lost seven fights and won 14 in his MMA career, but he has not tasted victory since August 2021, when he beat Samuel Alvarez. The American would lose to Jim Miller on his UFC debut by KO before losing Terrance McKinney by submission last August.
We expect a debuting win for Peek in this one.
