NFL Week 4 Daily Fantasy Football Value Picks: QBs and TEs

Week 4 of the NFL daily fantasy season is here, so let's take a look at tackling two of the harder positions to draft.

We know most daily fantasy players like to spend the big bucks on wide receivers and running backs, so we've handpicked some quarterbacks and tight ends that should be fantastic value choices comes Sunday.

Top Quarterback Picks for Week 4

  1. Phillip Rivers

    $7,800 on FanDuel

An underrated yet consistent fantasy stud year after year, it’s worth giving Rivers his due this Sunday as the Chargers take on a reeling 49ers side.

Rivers has an impressive 8-to-1 touchdown to interception ratio to kick off the season and seems poised for another big year.

Meanwhile, the Niners are still trying to figure out how to replace Jimmy Garoppolo who was lost for the season with a torn ACL.

This could get ugly fast and Rivers could capitalize on some good field position against a defense that has already surrendered 8 passing scores.

  2. Andrew Luck

    $7,300 on FanDuel

Indy fans are still waiting for Andrew Luck’s breakout comeback performance as the 1-2 Colts have been fairly disappointing thus far.

The Texans come to town in the midst of a substandard start of their own with the defense struggling against the pass.

We think Luck may finally announce his return from injury this weekend with a big showing against the division rivals. He’s a decent value pick to lead the Colts back to .500.

  3. Eli Manning

    $7,100 on FanDuel

Eli has, to put it lightly, had his ups and downs of late, and many Giants fans are already anticipating New York drafting a new franchise quarterback next Spring.

That being said, this will probably be his biggest output of the season.

The Saints’ pass defense has been absolutely atrocious giving up 10 touchdowns and 1,010 yards through the air just three games in. Meanwhile, New Orleans has recorded just one interception and allowed opposing quarterbacks to complete 74.2 of their passes.

  4. Baker Mayfield

    $6,900 on FanDuel

When the Browns, down by a few scores during Thursday Night Football, benched Tyrod Taylor in favor of Baker Mayfield the complexion of the game was turned on its head.

Mayfield led the Browns back to their first win in what feels like an eternity (since 2016), and we think he deserves a long look at a low price against an 0-3 Raiders team that’s been incredibly flat.

Call it a hunch, but we like Mayfield to ride the hype wave that began last Thursday into a strong follow-up showing in a hostile environment. As someone who apparently seems to feed off negative energy he may be a good fit for Cleveland.

Best Tight End Picks for Week 4

  1. Austin Hooper

    $5,000 on FanDuel

The Bengals have surrendered the fifth-most points in the NFL to tight ends and haven’t yet played against any particularly great ones.

Teams have targeted tight ends 32 times against Cincinnati in the first three games, so expect Hooper, who’s only seen 13 targets this season, to get more looks and capitalize on them as he’s done in the past when called upon.

  2. Antonio Gates

    $4,800 on FanDuel

The ageless wonder is showing no signs of slowing down and was targeted a season-high 5 times in week 3.

He should continue to get some looks with Richard Sherman lurking at cornerback for the Niners, as we expect a big day from Phillip Rivers.

At 38, there’s still some questions as to how big a role he’ll play this season, but against a team that’s already given up three touchdowns to opposing tight ends, he’s going to be a tempting option in the red zone.

  3. Jimmy Graham

    $6,000 on FanDuel

Aaron Rodgers will be looking to rebound from a rough week in D.C. against a Bills team that stunned the Vikings in Week 3.

He’s looked Graham’s way 19 times so far and Green Bay’s newest weapon has responded with 13 receptions for 148 yards.

He’s proving to be a reliable asset to Rodgers’ arsenal and has the potential for absolutely massive weeks. He may be a little boom-or-bust, but we think he’s worth the risk against Buffalo.

  4. David Njoku

    $5,200 on FanDuel

We said earlier that we’re high on Baker Mayfield this week and what benefits a young quarterback more than a reliable tight end?

Njoku is exactly that and could be a huge part of the Browns’ plans to ease the rookie into the playbook aside from a healthy dose of Carlos Hyde.

Tyrod Taylor targeted Njoku 14 times over the first two games of the season, but with the change at quarterback he only saw two balls come his way in week 3.

We expect Mayfield to get him the ball even more consistently than Taylor as the Browns look to reverse their losing ways and get above .500.
