Who Will Win The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer 2024?

The fifth and final The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer takes place on Sunday night, and it looks set to be a close battle of the broadcasters on betting sites

Comedian and presenter Adam Hills, Heartstopper actor Joe Locke, broadcaster and writer the Reverend Richard Coles and broadcaster Sara Cox will bake to impress judges Dame Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood on Sunday night, with Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding co-hosting.

However, Prue recently appeared to hint that everything wasn't always rosy in the Bake Off tent.

Speaking on The One Show, Prue said: "Oh we had everyone there.

"But the ones I remember enjoying most is, we had the Reverend Coles and Sara Cox together and it was very odd because they just ... I don’t know. Sometimes it just gels and sometimes people get on together well and um ..."

Richard On Top

Going into Sunday night's episode, Richard is the 6/4 favourite on specials betting sites to triumph, narrowly ahead of Sara.

Richard has some fairly successful food show experience behind him, after he finished fifth in Celebrity MasterChef.

He clearly knows his way around a kitchen, but can he impress The Great Celebrity Bake Off's congregation of Prue and Paul?

Sara has spoken about her love of food numerous times on her radio shows, and the former Britain's Top Takeaways presenter has previously admitted to a big love of local fish and chips in her native Bolton.

The foodie heads into the Bake Off tent as the 2/1 second favourite, but it could be a tough task to overcome Richard.

Joe's Bake Off Wish Comes True

Actor Joe is the 5/2 third favourite on betting apps to win this week's Great Celebrity Bake Off, but he has already had one of his wishes come true just by stepping foot in the tent.

The star previously called for a special Heartstopper episode of Bake Off, nearly two years ago.

In May 2022, he tweeted: "Heartstopper cast on bake off when??? (sic)"

Adam is propping up the market at 4/1, but there isn't much between the four contestants, so it's all to bake for.

The comedian has an emotional reason for taking part in the show, admitting he is doing so as a nod to his dad, who he lost to cancer in 2013.

He told Radio Times magazine: "My dad was about 55 when he had stomach cancer.

"He went through chemo, radiotherapy, and had a stem cell transplant, then got leukemia at 69 and had a bone marrow transplant. His body just couldn’t take it.

"Wouldn’t it be amazing to raise more money so the treatment isn’t quite as horrible or, in my dad’s case, doesn’t end up killing you?"

Nigella To Step In For Prue?

This Sunday's Celebrity Bake Off episode will also be emotional for another reason - because it will be the last-ever time Prue judges the celebrities.

She has already ruled herself out of next season's The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer.

A spokesperson from Love Productions, who make the Channel 4 series, recently said: "Prue will be stepping back from The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer."

As a result, there has been lots of speculation on new betting sites about who might replace Prue on the star-studded charity show.

Legendary TV chef Nigella Lawson is currently the 8/11 favourite to take Prue's spot, and former Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain is 2/1 second favourite for the role.

What's more, renowned pastry Ravneet Gill has previous experience for replacing Prue on a show.

She did so on Junior Bake Off's sixth series after Prue departed the show, and Ravneet is 5/2 to follow in her footsteps again on the next series of The Great Celebrity Bake Off.

Elsewhere, it is 10/1 that Dame Mary Berry makes a shock return to the tent, and 12/1 that iconic cook Delia Smith takes Prue's place.
