Masters Golf Predictions:

The world’s greatest golfers will descend upon Augusta National to battle for the famous green jacket at the Masters on Thursday.

Leading betting sites make 2022 champion Scottie Scheffler the clear favourite to regain his crown, but he faces fierce competition from the likes of Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm.

This is the only major that takes place at the same venue each year - the beautifully manicured Augusta National in Georgia - so it is easier to pick out form trends.

With that in mind, we have delved into the history books to find some appealing bets on this year’s Masters.

The golfers listed below have consistently flourished at Augusta in recent years, so they make attractive outright and each-way betting options before the tournament begins.

Rory McIlroy

Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm have established themselves as the Big Three after enjoying a great deal of success over the past year.

They occupy the top three positions in the official world rankings, but bookmakers have a clear favourite in Scottie Scheffler who has been in sublime form of late.

McIlroy and Rahm are older, and they have both displayed remarkable consistency at this tournament.

McIlroy has been even more very reliable at Augusta National, with seven top-10 finishes in the last ten years.

He was the runner-up behind Scheffler in 2022, but he form has dropped off after he started the season in flying form

This could be the year that he finally ends his major drought and McIlroy is available at 12.0 with golf betting sites.

Jon Rahm

Jon Rahm signing for Liv was one of the biggest shocks in the golfing world but that still doesn't mean he can't land the spoils at Augusta again.

Rahm (13.0) was an impressive winner last year and it’s easy to see why bookies want to keep the Spaniard onside.

The 27-year-old has two majors under his belt after winning the 2021 US Open and the Masters last year, while we know that he loves playing at Augusta and that is illustrated by his recent track record at this fiendish course.

Indeed, Rahm has posted a top-10 finish in five of his last six visits to the Masters and it would be no surprise were to to claim back-to-back Green Jackets at Augusta in 2024.

Will Zalatoris

Will Zalatoris burst onto the scene when he finished T6 at the US Open in 2020, which was his first appearance at a major.

He then finished runner-up at the Masters in 2021, just one stroke behind champion Hideki Matsuyama.

Zalatoris finished T6 at the Masters in 2022, so he clearly relishes the conditions at Augusta, and his ball-striking and tee-to-green play are unrivalled.

Will Zalatoris

Putting has let him down in the past, but if he fixes that sole weakness, the 27-year-old American will in the mix no doubt.

He has finished in the top-10 in six of his seven appearances at the majors, and that level of consistency should stand him in good stead.

At 30.0 on US Masters betting sites, he could make a great each-way punt, as six of the last nine Masters have been won by a player that had never previously clinched a major.

Sungjae Im

The South Korean star Sungjae Im stands out as another interesting each-way shout at 80.0 with betting apps thanks to his recent record at the Masters.

He made his first appearance at the tournament in 2020, when he finished T2 along with Smith.

Im was considered a leading contender in 2021, but he struggled to replicate his previous form and ultimately failed to make the cut.

However, he came roaring back to form in 2022, when he finished T8 along with Justin Thomas. He followed that up with another solid effort last year where he finished 16th.

Im has never had much luck at any other majors – his best finish outside of the Masters was T17 at the PGA Championship in 2021 – as he seems to reserve his best performances for Augusta.

Corey Conners

If you are looking for an even longer shot, look no further than Corey Conners, a Canadian pro who is currently 47th in the world rankings.

He is another player that has flourished at Augusta National in recent years: with three top 10 finishes in the last four years.

If he maintains that upward curve, he could break into the top-five this time around, so odds of 90.0 with BetVictor are appealing.

As is also the case with Im, Conners has never turned it on at any other majors, but his game is well-suited to Augusta, making him an interesting long-shot.
