NCLGS to Kick Off Summer Meetings at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh

The National Council of Legislators For Gaming States (NCLGS) is set to take an in-depth look at the Pennsylvania gambling industry, as its summer meetings are scheduled to kick off on July 17 at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh.

The meetings, which come to an end on July 20, will see a host of the Keystone State’s leading names in the gambling industry take center stage as they discuss various issues related to both PA online casinos and their retail outlets.

Industry Experts to Shine a Light on Responsible Gambling

The series of meetings will kick off with a roundtable focusing on responsible gambling, a topic that will undoubtedly be featuring prominently throughout all four days - as is the state of Pennsylvania itself, with a general panel titled ‘Welcome to Pennsylvania’ scheduled for July 18 at 9.15AM set to discuss everything from the brick-and-mortar facilities to remote gambling, horse racing, retail lottery and more.

The controversy surrounding regulation of skill games in PA is also getting its share of the limelight with a committee set to debate whether these ‘emerging forms of gambling’ should be regulated. The session takes place on July 18 at 10.45AM.

A responsible gambling committee will surely be another big puller that same afternoon, with a 1.45pm session focusing on effective consumer protection in the virtual world. Among the issues to be debated are advertising limits, the credit card ban and the importance of government-mandated spend on consumer protection.

Sports betting and state lotteries will form the bulk of discussions on the other days.
