Quick Summary: BetVictor at a Glance

BetVictor has a lot to offer Canadian bettors, judging by my experience using this betting site.

The odds here are rarely beaten and there are lots of special offers for betting on popular sports like hockey, basketball and baseball.

However, like most online sportsbooks I've tested, BetVictor isn't perfect.

For instance, I'd like to see more markets and offers for golf. I'd also like a few more live streams to watch while I bet.

There are always a few extras on my wishlist after I test a site, but overall, this is a high-quality sportsbook that gets the big things right.

BetVictor Pros
  • Excellent same-game parlay tool
  • Odds rarely beaten by competitors
  • Live horse racing streams
  • Loyalty rewards for betting on MLB & NBA
BetVictor Cons
  • Outside of horse racing, not many live streams
  • Some sports like golf lack special offers

BetVictor Hockey Betting

Hockey is where I first put BetVictor to the test.

For a Maple Leafs vs Canadiens game, there were over 180 betting options available, covering player shots, assists, power-play goals, and correct score options.

I built a same-game parlay combining Leafs to win, Matthews to score, and over 5.5 total goals - very simple to set up.

The combined odds were slightly better than I got at other NHL betting sites for the same picks.

Importantly, parlay insurance applies to NHL parlays, which gave me a refund whenever one leg of my five-leg hockey parlay missed.

The in-play hockey interface impressed me too, with real-time rink graphics and quick cash out options.

While I’d like more hockey-specific promotions, BetVictor delivers a strong service for betting on the NHL.

BetVictor Football Betting

BetVictor’s NFL betting section impressed me when I first tested it during Wild Card Weekend.

Each game featured over 220 lines in total, including player passing yards, rushing props, team totals, and alt spreads.

On spreads, BetVictor consistently offered 1.91 lines, but I occasionally saw better underdog moneylines when compared to sites like DraftKings.

During the playoffs, I benefited from BetVictor’s NFL 'Parlay Profit Boost' promotion.

After opting in, I earned 10% boosts on successful NFL parlays with three legs or more.

CFL betting isn't forgotten either, with Grey Cup futures and early odds available for CFL match-ups throughout the season.

BetVictor Baseball Betting

I tested BetVictor on a Blue Jays-Yankees series and bet on Bo Bichette to hit a home run at 5.50, while Pinnacle offered 5.40 - giving BetVictor a slight payout edge.

The 'MLB Box' promo adds daily value: after betting $25, I received mystery rewards like cash bonuses.

One downside: BetVictor posts some player props later than rivals like BetMGM, limiting early betting options for prop-focused MLB fans.

Live betting worked smoothly, with pitch-by-pitch trackers and reliable cash out options. The cash out values offered were generally on the more fair side.

Some sportsbooks have low-balled me in the past with cash outs, so I was pleased to see this.

BetVictor Basketball Betting

For the NBA finals, BetVictor had 165 different betting markets available per game, so this is the maximum you should expect to see at any point in the NBA season.

When I compared BetVictor's odds for an NBA finals game with 20 leading sportsbooks, I found that this site led the way on the moneyline odds, but lagged behind Bet99 on the point spread.

In general, though, the basketball odds here are pretty competitive.

One small limitation is that secondary NBA markets like bench player props and alternative lines sometimes don't match the best NBA betting sites.

BetVictor Soccer Betting

As a sportsbook with roots in the UK, BetVictor is one of the best soccer betting sites around.

Odds on English Premier League and Champions League games are outstanding, although prices for MLS games sometimes leave a bit to be desired.

It's a similar story with odds boosts - most of these apply to European football and I'd like to see a few more for games involving Canadian MLS teams.

One perk I enjoyed for soccer, however, was the Lucky Dip promotion. You’re shown a mystery market with boosted odds, but only after opting in.

I took a Lucky Dip boost on 'Over 3.5 goals' for a Canada MNT game and it ended up landing.

While it's not the most strategic of betting offers, it provides a fun twist, so it's worth trying from time to time.

"Look out for the boosted same-game parlays at the top of BetVictor's soccer betting section - they provide a lot of extra value."

BetVictor Golf Betting

BetVictor is a fairly reliable golf sportsbook, although it's clear that other sports take priority here.

I bet on a Masters longshot and found BetVictor’s outright odds were slightly better than Caesars Sportsbook for several underdogs.

During big tournaments, I’ve noticed sites like bet365 pay out on more places in the final leaderboard than BetVictor - an area that could be improved.

Live betting is generally limited to outright odds, two/three-ball outcomes and round betting, with no hole-by-hole markets available for most tournaments.

BetVictor previously offered limited live streaming for smaller golf tours, but there are no golf streams available at present.

BetVictor Odds & Range of Markets

BetVictor has markets for 30+ sports, covering all the big-hitters like hockey, football, soccer, basketball, and baseball, as well as niche sports like darts, snooker, and handball.

Market depth is excellent. For example, you'll find an average of 200+ markets for top soccer matches and 150+ markets for NHL games.

Over several weeks, I tracked odds across a range of different events.

For NFL underdogs, BetVictor averaged 2.15, while LeoVegas posted 2.10 and PowerPlay 2.12 - a consistent value edge.

English Premier League soccer odds regularly matched or beat the best of the competition.

NHL puck lines typically sat at 1.91 on both sides, competitive with sites like Sports Interaction.

That said, coverage thins slightly for some other sports. In tennis, I noticed BetVictor sometimes offered fewer game props than I'd have liked.

For niche sports like rugby, the odds often lag behind a bit, although this won't affect too many Canadian bettors.

Overall, BetVictor is one of the better sites for value and choice.

BetVictor Same-Game Parlay

BetVictor’s same-game parlay is available for five sports - hockey, football, basketball, soccer, and baseball.

I like that you can combine as many legs or props as you like - as long as the overall odds don't exceed 1001.00.

A standout feature is frequent SGP odds boosts. These enhance payouts on pre-selected parlays.

I found them available directly from the homepage, from the top of each sports betting section, and from individual games once I clicked through to view them.

SGPs aren’t yet offered for the majority of sports, but that's still standard across the online betting world for now.

I am a bit disappointed that tennis lacks SGP functionality, as it always feels to me like a sport that should come with an SGP option.

Still, for major Canadian sports, the same-game parlay is easy to use and comes with lots of odds boosts.

Live Betting at BetVictor

Live streaming at BetVictor is fairly limited, but the live betting service is good overall.

During my testing, most major sports leagues like the NHL, NBA, and MLB didn’t come with streams, although this is the norm at most online sportsbooks.

Horse racing is the clear exception, however, with streams from dozens of racetracks around the world.

I watched live feeds from major US tracks like Gulfstream Park and Santa Anita. The streams worked well with no buffering issues, and I recommend downloading the app for the best streaming experience.

While streaming outside of racing is limited, BetVictor’s live game trackers impressed me.

Hockey games displayed rink graphics with detailed team and player statistics updating in real-time.

Soccer trackers showed possession stats, shots, and live field positioning.

Several times I chose to cash out early while my bet was live (even when I would typically let a bet play out) because I felt the offered payouts were fair.

User Experience & Site Design

I really like the way the BetVictor site is laid out.

A lot of this comes down to personal preference, but I enjoy the bright colour scheme and the simplicity of the design.

The sidebar menu provides you with an A-Z list of all sports, access to offers and games, and links to the bingo and casino sections, in case you want to switch over to a different style of betting.

There's also a bet calculator, a comprehensive safer gambling section, and a link to the BetVictor blog, where experts provide picks.

Both the desktop and mobile versions of BetVictor load quickly and it's really easy to find everything you need.

I had no issues signing up - it was a quick and smooth process that took me about 15 minutes, with my ID verified and my account ready to go within an hour.

BetVictor Betting App

I’ve used the BetVictor betting app on both iPhone and Android and have found this is the easiest way to place bets.

The app loads quickly and is really simple to use - I can find odds and place bets in seconds without any lag or confusion.

What stands out most is how clean and uncluttered the layout is, which makes placing bets feel effortless.

Everything responds quickly, from scrolling through markets to confirming a bet.

Push notifications alerted me to updates like bet results, price boosts, promotions, and key moments in live events.

Ratings from other users back up my experience, with the app receiving an average score of 4.7 out of 5 on the App Store.

I didn't notice any major differences between the Android and the iPhone app, but an average user rating of 3/5 on the Google Play Store suggests that Android users are less satisfied.

I must say that this didn't tally with my experience when using both versions of the app.

Customer Support

I’ve used BetVictor’s customer service a few times and found it reliable and quick on each occasion.

The live chat starts with a bot to help direct your query, but getting through to a real person is easy - just type 'speak to an agent' and you're usually connected within minutes.

The agents I spoke to were friendly and sorted issues like a missing free bet quickly and without fuss.

There’s also email support, though live chat is much faster.

The only downside is the lack of phone support, but overall, BetVictor’s customer service has been efficient, helpful, and easy to deal with.

ChannelAvailabilityMy Experience
Live Chat24/7Fast, helpful, easy to access.
EmailWithin a few hoursSlower but still responsive.
Help Centre24/7 (self-service FAQ)Useful for basic questions.
PhoneNot availableNo option for phone support.

Responsible Gambling at BetVictor

BetVictor offers a range of responsible gambling tools to help users stay in control of their betting.

Interestingly, the site has former NBA star Tracy McGrady as a dedicated Safer Gambling Ambassador.

I found it easy to set limits and access support directly through my account settings.

Tools like deposit limits and time-outs are simple to activate, and there’s clear signposting to resources that can help with responsible betting.

While the tools are fairly standard across the industry, BetVictor makes them accessible and easy to manage, which is what really counts.

One tool I liked was product restriction - you can restrict access to the casino or sports sections of the site, if you choose.

  • Deposit limits
  • Time-out
  • Reality checks
  • Self-exclusion
  • Product restriction
  • Links to external support organisations

The Bottom Line: Final Thoughts on BetVictor

After extensive testing, BetVictor has become one of my top sportsbook recommendations for Canadian bettors.

The odds are consistently strong across key sports, often matching or beating competitors.

Same-game parlays come with lots of odds boosts and betting options, while promotions like NBA Rewards, MLB Box, and Parlay Insurance provide ongoing value.

The site design is simple but effective, focusing on functionality over unnecessary flash.

Live betting is responsive, cash out offers are fair, and customer support is efficient.

I'd like to see the same-game parlay feature expanded to include more sports and I feel the same about live streaming, which is mainly restricted to just horse racing for now.

Overall, I rate BetVictor as a trustworthy, user-friendly sportsbook - well-suited to both recreational and serious bettors.
