Players that open this fairytale book will find themselves joining Red on her quest to reach her grandmother and avoid the big bad wolf. The transparent reels allow players to fully appreciate the beautiful, enchanting forest that the fabled heroine finds herself trekking through. She's accompanied by relaxing sounds of the forest, with birds chirping in song. A magical orchestral ballad plays when the reels are spun, fitting the theme of the game.

Software provider NetEnt has made the game a colourful and Disney-style affair, rather than the dark tale that the Brothers Grimm told. Players spin the sparkling symbols in the hope of activating one of seven different bonus features, including a board game-style map where Red must avoid the wolf. As well as appearing as a character at the side of the reels, Red is also the Wild symbol within the game.
