7 Great Prop Bets for NBA Finals Warriors vs Raptors Game 6

The Golden State Warriors weren’t going to go away that easily. Facing elimination and the end of their quest of a three-peat, the Warriors overcame a devastating injury to Kevin Durant, hit 20 3-pointers and closed Game 5 of the NBA Finals on a 9-2 run to earn a 106-105 victory on Monday. The result extended the series back to Game 6 in the Bay Area, and we have seven prop bets to consider.

Klay Thompson Over 23.5 Points: (9/10)
Stephen Curry and Durant have dominated the headlines in the Finals, but let’s not forget the other Splash Brother. Thompson was excellent in Game 5, pouring in 26 points and seven more 3-pointers, including the eventual game-winner with 57 seconds remaining.
Thompson has been extraordinary in the Finals, averaging 25.0 points on 52% shooting and 57% from deep. The Raptors really don’t have an answer for him and the hamstring strain that cost him Game 3 feels like a non-factor at this point. Thompson is locked in right now and should go for 24 or more points for the fourth straight game.
Marc Gasol Over 10.5 Points (Evens)
Gasol has quietly been instrumental to the Raptors’ success. Golden State has failed to throw a lineup out that limits his effectiveness, as he has averaged 29.2 minutes in the Finals. He has also averaged 13.8 points and has surpassed 16 points in three of five games.
With Durant and Kevon Looney expected to miss Game 6, the Warriors may be forced to use DeMarcus Cousins more the rest of the series. That means the Raptors can counter with Gasol, who will again be used early and often. We think he’s an easy bet to top 10 points, so the fact that the prop is Evens is all the more reason to take it.
Kawhi Leonard Over 29.5 Points AND Raptors Win (27/10)
The Raptors enter Game 6 as underdogs, but that didn’t stop them from winning Games 3 and 4 in Oracle Arena last week. The Raptors are still in excellent shape to win the series, needing just one win in Game 6 or 7 (at home), and Leonard will be front and center of whatever game plan coach Nick Nurse deploys.
Leonard is averaging 29.8 points on 19.4 FGA and better than 11 FTA per game. He took over the fourth quarter on Monday before the Raptors inexplicably called timeout at the 3-minute mark and the Raptors up six. Our guess is he gets that momentum going again and closes things out with a 30-point effort. The odds are excellent value for him to do so.
Draymond Green Over 9.5 Rebounds (7/10)
Green just barely topped this prop bet on Monday, grabbing 10 rebounds in 41 minutes. But he also went rebound-less for the final 15 minutes of the game (he grabbed his 10th rebound with 2:58 left in the third quarter).
With Durant out again, Green will again be asked to play bigger and crash the boards. He’s averaging 10.7 rebounds over his last 16 games and has grabbed double-digit boards in 13 of those games. The odds aren’t as good as they’ve been in the past, but this is still a bet that should hit easily. It’s again our favorite bet on the board.
Kyle Lowry 8+ Assists and Kawhi Leonard 9+ Rebounds (3/1)
Kyle Lowry took on a scoring load in the second half, tallying 13 of his 18 Game 5 points after halftime. But he also had four first-quarter assists and had the Toronto offense humming. He has had nine assists in two of five games this series, and we could see him take on a distributing role in Game 6.
Leonard has averaged 11.7 rebounds over his last six games and has gone into double digits in each of the last two games. This is great value for two props that seem easily hittable.
Andre Iguodala Under 16.5 Points/Rebounds/Assists (Evens)
Iguodala has gone ice cold since filling up the box score early in the series. One has to wonder if the increase in minutes is finally getting to the 35-year-old, who is averaging 5.4 points on 36% shooting and 18% from deep since the start of the Western Conference finals.
He has averaged 4.8 rebounds and 4.1 assists in that span but he just doesn’t look like the same player. He’ll see a bump in minutes with Durant out again, but we think he’ll stay cold. The Warriors can get better minutes from Quinn Cook or DeMarcus Cousins.
Fred VanVleet Over 10.5 Points (4/5)
The Fred VanVleet prop returns for Game 6. The Raptors’ reserve point guard has been excellent all series and has tallied 11 or more points in four of five games. The only game he failed to reach that mark was in Game 4, when he had a Finals-high six assists.
He’s going to log significant minutes as Steph Curry’s primary defender, and it was telling that he played the final 6 minutes of Game 5. He has the coaches’ trust. He’ll be in double figures again.
