Britain's Got Talent Odds: Sydnie Christmas The New Favourite
Britain's Got Talent continued on Saturday night, and viewers were surprised it took until the fourth auditions episode for judge Bruno Tonioli to press his Golden Buzzer for the first time.
He did so for entertainer and teacher Taryn Charles, who wowed with her rendition of Aretha Franklin classic (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.
Taryn is now firmly in contention on betting sites to win this year's 17th series, but fans are also keen to know whether Bruno will now go Golden Buzzer crazy after last Saturday's press.
As a new judge last year, Bruno broke the rules when he couldn't resist hitting his buzzer for a second time, with panellists only allowed one press each per series, and that set a precedent.
The Golden Buzzer has been pressed five times in the first four episodes of the series, with the four judges, Simon Cowell, Bruno Tonioli, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and co-hosts Ant and Dec all pressing it once each.
Before the series started, it was confirmed there were nine Golden Buzzers during this year's auditions, and there are another four auditions episodes remaining.
It's also known that Alesha and Ant and Dec stuck to the rules by pressing once apiece, while Amanda confessed to pressing it twice.
That leaves three more Golden Buzzers between Simon and Bruno - but who will press it more?
Bruno Vs Simon
Bruno is the odds-on favourite on Britain's Got Talent betting sites to press the Golden Buzzer more than Simon in series 17.
After he started the chaos by breaking the rules last year, it is likely the former Strictly Come Dancing judge will continue his precedent on the ITV show.
He is 1/2 to press the buzzer more than Simon, who is a 2/1 chance to out-buzz his fellow panellist.
So far, Bruno - who is said to have even broken the Golden Buzzer during this year's auditions - has only pressed for Taryn, and Simon put dance troupe CyberAgent Legit straight through to the semi-finals in episode three.
We know Amanda only presses the Golden Buzzer once more in the next four episodes, while either Bruno or Simon could have up to three presses.
Hence, Bruno is the 4/6 favourite to press the Golden Buzzer next and he is odds-on at 8/11 to press it three times throughout the series.
Simon is Evens to get in ahead of his pal and press it next, while it's 3/1 that Amanda makes her last push before Simon or Bruno.
Talented Taryn In Contention
While some BGT fans have been critical of the rule-breaking multiple Golden Buzzer presses in this year's, and last year's, series, it is certainly a boost for the contestants lucky enough to be sent straight through to the semi-finals.
Taryn edged a step closer to that life-changing £250,000 and a performance at the Royal Variety Performance on Saturday night, after a scintillating performance.
Following her Aretha rendition, all four judges and the crowd gave her a standing ovation, and Ant said: "That is talent."
The crowd urged the judges to press their Golden Buzzer and Bruno pushed his first of the series, and then delivered Taryn the ultimate compliment by revealing her version of the song made him "forget" about Aretha's hit tune.
Simon confessed he thought Taryn's performance "probably wasn't going to be any good" beforehand, but he soon changed his tune when she started to sing.
He added: "Then you started singing, and this is how people should sing. This is proper, proper singing."
Taryn is now 15/2 fourth favourite on specials betting sites to win this year's 17th BGT series.
Simon And Amanda's Acts On Top
Simon's Golden Buzzer act CyberAgent Legit has been overtaken at the top of the market by last week's third favourite Sydnie Christmas, who Amanda pressed her buzzer for.
Sydnie is now 3/1 to triumph, while Alesha's Golden Buzzer Ravi's Dream Team is 6/1 second favourite, followed by CyberAgent Legit.
The Ssaulabi Performance Troupe - who Ant and Dec sent into the semis - are out to 10/1 fifth favourites after progressing in episode one.
Elsewhere on betting apps, episode three's Northants Sings Out choir are into 12/1, while episode four stars Serbat Troupe (25/1) in the betting.
Other episode four acts who have entered the market include 33/1 pair Danny Platinum, a content creator who performed a BGT-themed freestyle rap, and teacher Andrew Curphey, who sang a medley of songs with backing dancers.
