What is the Scorecast Market?

The Scorecast market, offered by most top football betting sites, is where a customer can combine a First Goalscorer and Correct Score bet, thus receiving bigger odds than they would from betting on just one of these markets. They simply select a player to score first in a particular match and then combine it with their predicted final score.

Once you have made the selections, you simply nominate the stake for your bet and then place the wager, with the customer needing both of the Scorecast outcomes to be correct in order to get a return.

What is the Wincast Market?

The Wincast market also involves betting on the First Goalscorer in a particular match although this is now combined with the Full Time Result rather than Correct Score.

A customer will firstly select the player that they think will open the scoring in a match and then combine it with which team they predict will win. There is the option to go for a home win, away win or draw.

Naturally, the majority of Wincast bets involve selecting the team that corresponds to the First Goalscorer bet, although you can go for any option available. Wincasts are generally used as part of a more advanced football betting strategy.

When Should You Use a Scorecast?

There are several reasons why customers enjoy Scorecast betting. Firstly, it allows them to have an interest in a particular match without necessarily risking a big stake.

That is because most Scorecast prices are available at 21.00 or bigger, meaning a small stake will land a large return whichever First Goalscorer and Correct Score options you select.

If you have a strong opinion on a First Goalscorer, a Scorecast bet allows you to select a few combinations of Correct Score and thus create much bigger odds than you might get by simply having a 1G bet.

The same applies if you have a strong hunch about a Correct Score outcome but find the odds too short. A Scorecast allows you to combine a scoreline with several First Goalscorer options and you then have a nice spread of options.

A Scorecast bet has bigger odds because it’s naturally harder to win. A soccer match includes any number of variables and it’s always a tall order to get two types of prediction correct.

Advantages of Placing a Wincast Bet

A Wincast bet is statistically easier to win than a Scorecast bet. While both types of bet involve getting the First Goalscorer element correct, a Wincast bet simply needs to have this selection combined with the correct Full Time Result outcome rather than Correct Score.

If you select a player to score first and then choose his team to win that particular match, then you are sitting pretty with your bet should that player score because his team will be leading 1-0. So the two elements to the bet can often work together to good effect.

A Wincast bet is great to have if you have a strong First Goalscorer fancy and want to essentially boost the odds by also predicting the outcome of a match when the full-time whistle blows.

Alternatively, you might really fancy a particular team to win their game but find the odds too prohibitive and a Wincast bet will allow you to include a First Goalscorer and give you a bigger return on your stake.

Statistics to Use for Scorecast/Wincast Betting

Scorecast and Wincast bets both need a customer to get the First Goalscorer correct. Therefore, it’s important to do your research and understand which players have been scoring the opening goals for their team and the frequency with which they are able to do so.

This includes knowing which players are on penalty duties and the same applies to free-kick takers, with this giving a player a much stronger chance of scoring his team’s opening goal.

When it comes to a Scorecast, you also need to establish the likely scoreline for a game and it clearly pays to look back at the previous six matches involving each team so you can establish betting trends that might help you with this bet.

We tend to look for teams who are strong defensively when it comes to placing Scorecasts, so that we can potentially combine a particular player with a series of scorelines such as 1-0, 2-0 and 3-0.

Wincast betting is different in that we need to predict the Full-Time Result and that’s a case of looking at each match and having a strong view about a particular outcome whether it be home win, draw or away win.

Once again, it helps to look at previous results involving both teams. For the home team, you might look at their home form and the same applies to the away team, while the overall league table standings will provide you with a solid view.

If you want to get more in-depth with your research, we recommend looking at stats such as shots on target and expected goals which will also help paint the clearest picture possible before you go ahead and place your bets.
