Celebrity Bear Hunt Odds: Who Will Win The New Netflix Show?

The brand-new Netflix show Celebrity Bear Hunt will see celebrities thrust into a Central American jungle among venomous snakes, scorpions and crocodiles in a battle for survival.

Their most feared hunter, however, will be British adventurer Bear Grylls.

The programme, hosted by Holly Willoughby, will see Bear put 12 celebrities through their paces, including tennis legend Boris Becker and Spice Girls star Mel B.

Those who fail to impress him will end up taking part in the dreaded Bear Hunt.

It is a brutal game of cat and mouse where Bear will try to capture them, which would mean they face elimination from the show.

While a winner looks set to be crowned at the end of the eight episodes - and there is a close outright market on betting sites - executive producer Ben Mitchell admitted there is no prize as such.

He told The Sun newspaper: "There’s no prize for the winner - just bragging rights."

As well as Boris and Mel, Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas, singer Una Healy, musician Big Zuu, models Lottie Moss and Leomie Anderson, Ted Lasso actor Kola Bokinni, former rugby player Danny Cipriani, Inbetweeners actor Joe Thomas, Changing Rooms star Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, and TV presenter Steph McGovern are also part of the line-up.

The show, which begins on Wednesday February 5, will see celebrities battle for survival and aim to complete tasks in the Hunger Games-like Bear Pit.

Danny And Una Are Early Favourites

Former rugby player Danny Cipriani and The Saturdays singer Una Healy (11/8) are the frontrunners to triumph on the brutal show.

Danny, who is Evens favourite on betting apps, has encountered a few beasts on the rugby field, and Una is determined to do well on the show to make her kids "proud".

Strictly's Shirley isn't far behind at just 3/1 for Bear Hunt victory.

Sadly, she's had to deal with plenty of online trolls during her time on the BBC Latin and ballroom show, so she should be well-equipped to deal with jungle nasties.

What's more, the star has told how she "stayed focused" during the series.

She told the Radio Times magazine: "Every single task I did was like a piece of art or a piece of choreography.

"If it’s a bridge that's got slats missing, do I do a jump over it?

"Which is the best angle to go at it? How can I do that gracefully? Everything I did, I stayed focused."

Celebrity Bear Hunt Stars 'Crumble'

Ahead of the show, Bear has told how some celebrities "crumble" on the show.

Spoiler alert - one star who looks destined for an early exit is tennis star Boris.

In the trailer for the programme, the former Wimbledon tennis champion - who was released from prison in 2022 after he was convicted for hiding £2.5 million in assets during his bankruptcy - says: "I survived prison. I want to compare that to the wild."

However, if Bear Hunt was a tennis match it sounds like Boris retires hurt in the first set.

Executive producer Ben told The Sun: "Boris, after years of playing tennis, as you’d expect, he’s kind of ravaged by injury, so his mobility was impaired.

"He jarred his knee, and we didn’t want him to risk causing any kind of further damage, so he was shipped out, which was a real shame."

Boris is the 1/3 favourite to exit the competition first, and he doesn't feature in the outright market as a result of being "shipped out".

Laurence Nearly 'A Goner'

While Boris' time on Celebrity Bear Hunt looks set to be short-lived, he doesn't have the only injury scare of the show.

Changing Rooms star Laurence is said to have thought he was "a goner" at one stage during the series after he became entangled in a bungee rope and was trapped underwater.

A source told MailOnline: "Laurence was very shaken as was everyone. He said that he thought he was a goner."

Bear is said to have come to his aid on the shore.

Laurence is a 10/1 outsider to win the series and is just 11/10 for the first elimination.

Other outsiders for Bear Hunt victory include 5/1 chance Mel B, who had a frightening encounter on the programme when she was chased by a 10ft crocodile in the Costa Rican jungle.

However, fortunately for the singer, her Scary Spice moniker lived up to its name and the beast scarpered from her.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "All the crew were joking that even this terrifying man-eater knew it might have met its match with Scary, so performed a swift exit."

Bear said of the incident: "I think the crocodile getting so close to Mel B when she was trying to escape was the gnarliest thing that happened during filming.

"We got brilliant footage of the crocodile just lasering into her."
