Premier League Predictions Gameweek 26 - Brian McClair On The Panel

Brian McClair's Premier League Picks

Throughout the season, Manchester United and Celtic legend Brian McClair will be giving his predictions for every Premier League game.

In four seasons at Celtic, McClair made 471 appearances in all competitions and scored 127 goals, securing the Scottish Premier League and Scottish FA Cup while finishing as top-scorer for the Hoops on four occasions.

His prolific goalscoring record quickly attracted the attention of clubs south of the border and in 1987, McClair became Alex Ferguson's first signing at Manchester United, going on to win four Premier League titles, two FA Cups and the European Cup Winners' Cup in his 11 years at Old Trafford.

Brian joins The Panel for the 2024/25 Premier League season and will pass expert judgement with his score predictions on all games whilst The Panel team will examine the best football betting sites to find the best odds should his predictions hit the back of the net.

Watch him discuss the games below and keep an eye on how Brian and The Panel get on each week throughout the season.

Everton Vs Man Utd, Saturday 12.30pm

David Moyes aims to pile more pressure on Manchester United as Everton host his former club in Saturday's early game.

Since Moyes’ return, Everton have gone from relegation candidates to one of the league’s in-form teams with 13 points from six matches. Now above United in the table, their survival fears are easing.

Goodison Park will still be buzzing from last week’s thrilling Merseyside derby, while United continue to struggle with injuries after their defeat to Tottenham last Sunday.

Their bench against Spurs featured seven academy players, including 18-year-old Ayden Heaven, signed from Arsenal in January and Victor Lindelof was their only senior player.

Brian says: “After recent results, Everton now find themselves above Manchester United and very few Evertonians would have expected that a few weeks ago.

“Thirteen points from his six games in charge has seen David Moyes turn things around and he is doing a remarkable job.

“Being a former Manchester United manager, he’ll be doing everything he can to get a positive result, but I think United will be too strong despite the injuries.”

Brian McClair's Panel Pick 1: Everton 2-1 Man Utd- 17/2 with Betovo

Man City Vs Liverpool, Sunday, 4.30pm

In probably the game of the weekend, Liverpool will look to tighten their grip on the Premier League trophy when they head to current champions Manchester City on Sunday.

Ahead of their game with Aston Villa on Wednesday, Arne Slot's side held a seven point lead over nearest rivals Arsenal with just 13 games of the season remaining.

City have rallied somewhat and put four past Newcastle last weekend as they look to cement a place in the top four.

But with Liverpool still unbeaten on the road, it's no surprise that the visitors are favourites to take the points in Manchester.

Brian says: "Liverpool boss Arne Slot has claimed that his side are looking tired recently, but that could be a psychological ploy as he looks to record a Premier League double over Manchester City.

“City returned to their very best form with a 4-0 win over Newcastle last week thanks to an Omar Marmoush hat-trick in just 13 minutes.

“Despite their fluctuating performances this season, I still think City are performing well enough to challenge any top side, including Liverpool.”

Brian McClair's Panel Pick 2: Man City 2-1 Liverpool - 17/2 with Betovo
