Spieth should be full of confidence after surging to a T5 finish at the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club last weekend.
He now has six top-six finishes in his last 11 appearances, which suggests that he is on the verge of rediscovering the consistency he displayed at the start of his career.
A niggling wrist injury now appears to be under control, and he displayed impressive power off the tee at Muirfield Village and Oak Hill.
His best performances have come on courses with wide fairways, where creativity is required, as evidenced by his successes at Augusta, Chambers Bay and Birkdale.

Rory McIlroy will lead the charge for the Irish contingent at Los Angeles Country Club this week.
The world No. 3 has secured three consecutive top-10 finishes since a disappointing performance at the Wells Fargo Championship in May. He just needs to discover greater consistency in his game as he bids to end the long wait for another major.
McIlroy won the US Open all the way back in 2011, and he has finished inside the top-10 in his four appearances, which bodes well, so he is priced at 12/1 with betting apps for this one.
Shane Lowry is a 60/1 underdog, as he has underwhelmed at the US Open since a T2 finish in 2016, while you can find 500/1 on 51-year-old veteran Padraig Harrington.
Séamus Power is 175/1, but he finished T12 on his US Open debut last year, so he could prove to be an interesting long-shot.
