Strictly Come Dancing Odds 2023: Ellie Leach On Course To Ease To Glitterball Victory
The Strictly Come Dancing final is just hours away, and the winner could be one of the shortest-priced on UK betting sites in the competition's history.
Ellie Leach looks on course to win the Glitterball Trophy with ease on Saturday night after an impressive campaign on the dancefloor.
The remaining couples, Ellie and her pro partner Vito Coppola, actor Layton Williams and his dance partner Nikita Kuzmin, and EastEnders star Bobby Brazier and his pro dance partner Dianne Buswell, will dance three routines in a bid to land the Glitterball on Saturday.
The trio won't be the only stars on show, as music legend Cher will perform during the finale, and the previously eliminated celebrities will return to perform an epic routine.
Judges Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, Motsi Mabuse and Craig Revel Horwood will score as usual, but the winner will be down to the public vote.
Viewers will be eagerly anticipating some maximum scores in the final, after only two were amassed - both by Layton - during the first 12 weeks of the series.
Odds-On Ellie Set For Strictly Victory
Soap star Ellie has topped the market on Strictly Come Dancing betting sites for weeks now, and it would be some shock if she was to slip up now.
Despite being the heavy odds-on favourite, the former Coronation Street actress is yet to achieve a perfect 40-out-of-40 score throughout the series, but it would be no surprise if she put that right on Saturday night.
Ellie has shortened to 1/10 with Coral, from a best price of 1/9 in midweek, and she looks set to be one of the shortest-priced winners in Strictly history
In 2021, Rose Ayling-Ellis went off 1/12 favourite with BetVictor for Strictly victory.
But Ellie, who is as low as 1/20 with some UK bookmakers, could well be a shorter best price than Rose was come Saturday evening.
Unlucky Loser Layton?
With Ellie dominating the market, Layton and Bobby are both double-figure odds on specials betting sites.
Layton could well be one of the unluckiest losers in Strictly history after topping the leaderboard in eight weeks out of the 12 leading up to Saturday's finale.
The judges have been huge fans of him over the course of the series, but the punters have stayed away.
On more than one occasion throughout the series, Layton's price has even drifted the day after he topped the leaderboard.
His lack of fan support is thought to be due to him coming into the competition with a fair bit of dance experience from his various roles in musicals, despite not having specific Latin and ballroom skills.
Layton is a best price 12/1 with BetMGM for Glitterball glory, but he is just 7/1 in some places and he will want to score victory for Top Male backers.
Bobby Could Sneak Top Male Title
However, Bobby could be good value on betting apps to be this year's Top Male, and he is 6/5 to do so.
The EastEnders actor has lengthened slightly from the 11/10 on offer in midweek, while Layton is 8/13 from 4/6 to be the series 21 Top Male.
Bobby might have to put in his best performance of the series if he is to overcome Layton and he would need a huge shock result if he is to defeat Ellie.
The star is now out to 25/1 with Bet365 to win the series, after being a best price of 20/1 on Wednesday.
However, he is just 12/1 with some, and the bookmakers clearly aren't too sure about who will be this year's Top Male.
Should either Layton or Bobby beat Ellie to the Glitterball Trophy then it will surely be one of the biggest reality TV shocks of all time, but that looks extremely unlikely.
