Betting sites have made Novak Djokovic the overwhelming favourite to win Wimbledon in 2023 and make it five titles on the spin at SW19.
Djokovic cruised into the 2022 final and beat Nick Kyrgios in four sets to claim what was his 21st Grand Slam title.
Some believed the 35-year-old would begin winding down his career following the controversy over Covid-19 vaccination status that marred his Australian Open at the the start of the 2022 ATP season.
But after a return to form at Wimbledon, UK bookmakers are in no doubt that Djokovic is the current king of the men’s tour.
And the latest tennis odds suggest there isn’t anyone who can stop him claiming what would be an eighth Wimbledon crown in 2023.
Wimbledon Betting Odds
According to tennis betting sites, Djokovic has a 50% chance of winning the 2023 men’s singles title at Wimbledon. Those odds of Evens are eye-wateringly short considering we are still months out from the tournament.
But what is perhaps more remarkable is the dearth of possible contenders for his crown. The second favourite to win Wimbledon, is Italy’s Matteo Berrettini at 7/1. Even Rafael Nadal – a two-time champion at SW19 – is out at 15/2.
Berrettini is a skilled grass player and reached the 2021 Wimbledon final, only to lose to Djokovic in four sets. He has a 4-1 record in finals on grass, but has never won a Masters 1000 event or higher.
Nadal, meanwhile, will be 37 come Wimbledon 2023 and will have just come through what is likely another gruelling – and more than likely successful – clay swing, where betting apps have him at 2/1 to win the French Open.
In 2022 the Spaniard reached the Wimbledon semi-finals before withdrawing with an injury. It’s unlikely he will be physically fit enough to face Djokovic in a Centre Court semi or final.

Wimbledon 2023 Outside Bets
Other contenders in the 2023 Wimbledon betting are Daniil Medvedev (8/1), Carlos Alcaraz (9/1) and Alexander Zverev (11/1). Between them they have won just one grand slam (Medvedev, 2021 US Open) and collectively boast a dismal W9 L13 record against Djokovic.
Alcaraz is the only player with a winning record over the Serb (W1 L0) but has never made it further than the fourth round of Wimbledon.
Two potentially smarter outside bets are 2022 finalist Nick Kyrgios (22/1) and semi-finalist Cameron Norrie (40/1). Both proved unable to take down Djokovic but both are certainly adept at conquering grass.
Were the Serb to suffer a shock defeat or an injury, the tennis odds would likely plummet for these sorts of outsiders.
