Gambling.com Rating: 8.2/10
Our Verdict: An impressive all-round site that is let down slightly by a lack of sports betting promotions.
Bwin is a betting site with over 20 million customers worldwide.
Despite its international success, this bookmaker is still gaining a foothold in the UK, having received a UK licence in 2019.
Having sponsored Manchester United and Real Madrid in the past, it's no surprise that Bwin specialises in football betting.
I recommend trying this site if you're passionate about betting on the beautiful game.
The free-to-play 'Predict 5' football prediction game is one of the main reasons why.
I entered the game every week when testing this site and really enjoyed it.
However, a lack of existing customer promotions lets this site down overall.
I’ve rated Bwin 8.2 out of 10. The site is worth trying, but with more poker promos than sports offers, it sometimes feels Bwin is aimed more at poker players than sports bettors.

Reputation | 8/10 | Bwin still has work to do to build a reputation in the UK. |

Bwin stands out by offering a different type of welcome offer to the majority of UK bookmakers
Instead of the traditional ‘Bet X Get Y’ offer, I got money back as a free bet on my first bet.
You place your first bet on an accumulator with at least three selections and if it loses, you’re refunded with a free bet, up to a maximum of £20.
I was able to place a slightly riskier bet than I normally would, safe in the knowledge that I would be refunded if I lost.
The refunded free bet can only be used on football markets and must be used all at once - which is a limitation I'd like to see removed.

I was disappointed with the range of existing customer offers at Bwin.
I only found five when testing the site, which is far fewer than the best bookmakers offer.
Compared to the likes of bet365, where I found 17 different offers, Bwin falls well short.
However, the 'Predict 5' game is a clear highlight. Each week, you attempt to predict five correct scores to win a share of up to £5,000.
I predicted three scores correctly on one occasion and was rewarded with £10 in free bets.
Promotion | Description |
---|---|
1. Predict 5 Game | Predict five correct football scores to win cash prizes and free bets. |
2. Acca Boosts | 70% profit boost on winning accumulators. |
3. Best Odds Guaranteed | Biggest price on UK and Irish races from 8am daily. |
4. Extra Golf Places | Extra each-way places paid for golf tournaments. |
5. Price Boosts | Enhanced odds on selected markets (there aren't many of these). |
Unfortunately, horse racing betting doesn't seem to be a priority at Bwin.
I was able to bet on a wide variety of races, both from the UK/Ireland and around the world, but that's the minimum I expect from any online bookmaker.
Best odds guaranteed is offered from 8am on the day of UK and Irish races, but this is a fairly standard promotion that all the best horse racing betting sites offer.
I wasn’t able to live stream any races at Bwin, which is something I always look for when betting on racing.
Overall, if you mainly bet on horse racing, you are better off using a site like Tote, which puts more of an emphasis on this sport.
"Bwin could do more to keep horse racing punters coming back."
While horse racing has taken a back seat, Bwin is a very good football betting site.
I'm a fan of Bwin’s ‘Trending Football Accas’ section, which allowed me to see the most popular accumulators placed by other bettors.
As I've covered, I also regularly play the ‘Predict 5’ game.
I’m yet to get five correct scores to win my share of £5,000, but it’s still something I look out for each week and there are consolation prizes for getting 2-4 scores right.
There’s also a wide range of football leagues with live streaming at Bwin, including the German Bundesliga, the MLS, the Dutch Eredivisie and various Nordic leagues.
The odds for football are among the best I've found for the top five European leagues.
"The football betting odds at Bwin are rarely beaten, especially for high-profile matches."
I was impressed by the variety of betting markets available to me when betting on cricket at Bwin.
When betting on the IPL, I found over 50 markets to choose from, with around the same number when it came to international tests.
This is a decent range of betting options for any cricket betting site.
I could also bet on a number of outright markets, including future Ashes winners, T20 Blast and County Championships.
I would like to see some unique cricket promotions offered in future, however, to set this site apart from the competition.
"I enjoy betting on the IPL and was impressed by the variety of markets at Bwin."
In-play betting is where tennis really comes into its own at Bwin.
When betting on live matches, I was able to view live stats and use the data visualisation centre for a live overview of how the match was unfolding.
Better yet, there's live streaming available for a lot of ATP and WTA events across the world.
The pre-match markets are a bit lacking, with only 18 to choose from, so there is still room to improve here.
Golf is one of the few sports that comes with regular promotions at Bwin.
Ahead of most golf tournaments, I was able to claim extra each-way places on my bets, sometimes up to 10 places.
I was also impressed by the unique specials markets for future golf tournaments.
I could bet on markets such as winning margin, hole-in-ones, and the nationality of tournament winners.
There is no live streaming of golf, but this is the case with most golf betting sites, so I can’t hold it against Bwin.
"Extra each-way place terms are generous at Bwin and this is something I like to take advantage of."
Bwin offers a standard rugby betting section, covering both union and league bets.
Bettors can bet on major competitions like the Six Nations, Rugby Championship, Super League, and NRL.
I found a solid range of markets here, including match winners, handicaps, and total points.
Odds are competitive and the in-play betting experience is smooth, with cash outs available on the majority of rugby union games.
However, I wasn’t able to live stream rugby, while league coverage is limited outside of major events, in my experience.
"There are better sites for betting on rugby league than Bwin - Betfred, for example."
The darts betting section at Bwin comes with an impressive range of betting options and live streams of selected tournaments.
For a Premier League match between Luke Littler and Stephen Bunting, for example, I counted 37 pre-match markets.
The option to watch darts live at an online bookmaker is rare, so Bwin stands out from the crowd here.
Bwin’s snooker betting service is decent, without being outstanding.
I found that the odds for major games usually matched most of the competition in online betting.
However, some elements are lacking when I compare Bwin to the best snooker betting sites.
I didn’t find many statistics like head-to-head data or player form, which meant I had to go to Google to research my bets, rather than having the information at my fingertips alongside the odds.
Bwin offers markets on all UFC events, but I couldn’t find any markets for Bellator, something which fight fans may find disappointing.
Even when it comes to the UFC, I could usually only find winners markets, even when a major UFC fight night was on the horizon.
It was a similar story when betting on boxing at Bwin. Although they had a wide range of events from around the world, a number of boxing betting markets were lacking.
With no fight promotions to speak of and a lack of markets overall, combat sports bettors may end up looking elsewhere.
I was impressed by Bwin's betting options for US sports.
There's a bet builder option for the MLB, NBA, NFL and NHL, with a decent range of price boosts applying to these leagues as well.
North American sports leagues also come with live streams, although these seem to die down during the playoffs.
When it came to Esports betting, I was able to live stream a lot of different events from games such as Counter-Strike, FC 25 and League of Legends.
Bwin also offers unique specials markets for TV shows like Britain's Got Talent, and awards ceremonies like the Oscars.
Bwin’s betting odds are typically competitive across the board, with a few sports impressing in particular.
For football betting, I was often impressed by the value I was finding for matches in the Premier League and Champions League.
Value could also be found in slightly less popular sports, such as darts and basketball, but I found that the margins for tennis betting were slightly worse than I'd have liked.
In terms of market variety, I wasn’t blown away by Bwin.
Some sports, like golf, came with an impressive range of unique betting options, but I was let down when looking for combat sports markets.
Bwin’s 'Build-A-Bet' tool is a solid enough example of a bet builder.
There are five sports you can place same-game accas on - football, baseball, basketball, American football and hockey.
It’s clear that Bwin has focused on American sports with the bet builder, a positive for fans of sports across the pond.
However, I couldn’t combine markets from different sports into my bet builder, something which Bzeebet does allow.
Combine that with a lack of specific bet builder promotions and there's still room for improvement here.

In-play betting at Bwin gets off to a strong start, with 10 sports available to watch, including football, tennis, darts and cricket.
Particularly for tennis, the in-play experience was something I enjoyed. When I wasn’t live streaming a match, I had live statistics and data to help me place quick live bets on markets like 'next point winner'.
However, it's not a perfect live betting experience.
Some sites offer live betting on individual legs in darts for example, but I didn't see this option when betting on the arrows at Bwin.
For rugby matches, I was sometimes limited to just betting on match winner and total points markets when matches were in-play.
Although Bwin does offer an impressive range of live streaming options, more live betting markets across more sports would be welcome.
Bwin’s black and gold site design is initially striking - and thankfully it's quick and easy to navigate.
All of the most popular sports are easily accessible from an A-Z navigation bar, with the latest events shown directly on the homepage.
At the top of the homepage, I was also able to see any price boosts for upcoming events.
The site loads quickly on desktop, however I did find it to be slightly slower on mobile at times, so I’d like to see an improvement there.
When looking for markets or events, I was easily able to find what I was looking for.
I also appreciated little user-friendly touches. For example, if you can place a bet builder on a game, you'll see a 'BB' icon next to the odds. Similarly, for any event that has a live stream, you'll see a play icon.
This attention to detail makes everything a little easier for the user.
Payment Method | Minimum Deposit | Average Withdrawal Time |

Debit Cards | £5 | 3-5 business days |
Instant Bank Payment | £5 | 2-4 business days |
PayPal | £10 | Up to 24 hours |
PaysafeCard | £10 | Up to 24 hours |
The Bwin betting app is laid out in a similar way to the desktop site, with easy access to odds boosts, bet builders, and upcoming events.
Bwin also sends push notifications directly to your iPhone or Android device, so you don't miss out on any promotions you've earned.
In my testing, I didn’t find any bugs or experience any crashes, so it seems that Bwin has put plenty of time into its app.
However, the app took a little longer to load at times than I would have liked.
When it comes to user ratings, Bwin has a 4.7/5 average rating on the Apple App Store and a 4.8/5 average rating on the Google Play Store.
Overall, I found Bwin’s customer support was more than helpful with any queries I had.
They recommend getting in touch via social media, which is something I agree with. This led to the quickest response times and I was able to have my problems resolved promptly.
There is also the option to email or ring Bwin customer support, both of which are ideal when explaining any in-depth problems you might have.
Channel | Availability | My Experience |
---|---|---|
Social Media | 24/7 | Quick responses, often within 5 minutes. |
Live Chat | 24/7 | Slightly slower than social media but available on-site. |
24/7 | Can take multiple days to get a reply via email. | |
Phone | 10am-7pm | Perfect for explaining more complex issues. |
There are three main responsible gambling tools at Bwin.
I'd like to see a few more tools offered to help with responsible betting, but I found that customer support staff were really helpful with any responsible gambling questions I raised. They are clearly well-versed in responsible betting principles.
However, it's a little harder to find the responsible gambling page than I would like (you need to scroll down to the footer of the website to find the responsible gambling section).
The tools I found were:
Bwin is a betting site worth using, but a few extras would improve things further.
I found a variety of sports to bet on, usually with lots of betting markets and largely competitive odds.
But, I'm a sucker for a promotion, so I'd like to see this site rolling out more perks for regular customers.
The highlights of this site for me are 'Predict 5' (the free football prediction game) and the number of sports that come with live streams. It's pretty cool that you can watch a German Bundesliga game here, for example.
With a few more existing customer promos and some improved coverage around sports like UFC and boxing, this site could go from an 8.2 to a 9/10.
Bwin is owned by Entain plc, one of the world’s largest sports betting and gaming groups. Alongside Bwin, Entain also owns other major brands such as Ladbrokes, Coral, PartyPoker, and Sportingbet. The company operates across multiple markets with a focus on responsible gambling and a strong presence in both retail and online sectors.
Bwin is a trustworthy and legitimate betting site. It is fully licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission under the account number 54743. This ensures that Bwin follows regulatory standards for customer safety, account security and responsible gambling.
Bwin offers free bets as part of the site's offer for new customers and as a reward for getting scores correct in the 'Predict 5' football prediction game. For example, if you get four scores correct in that free-to-play game, you get £100 worth of free bets.
Bwin withdrawals typically take between 1-5 business days, depending on your chosen withdrawal method. If you are withdrawing using a debit card or bank transfer, this process can take multiple days. If you use an e-wallet such as PayPal, this process will usually take less than 24 hours.
Bwin customer support can be contacted via social media on X.com or Facebook, on the site's live chat, over email or on the phone. Social media and live chat messages will be answered 24/7. Email replies can take a number of days, whilst the phone line is only open from 10am to 7pm each day.
