Gambling.com Rating: 7.5/10
Our Verdict: HighBet delivers a site with fair odds and a strong range of promotions, though there are still areas to improve.
I signed up with HighBet to see how it compares to other new UK betting sites, and overall I've been impressed.
The site has a modern design that makes navigation simple, and I find odds on popular sports like football and tennis to be competitive.
HighBet offers a wide variety of sports to bet on, with horse racing, football and Esports standing out.
The range of existing customer offers has also impressed me. Cashback on losses each weekend is a highlight and I've made good use of boosts on winning accumulators.
One area for improvement is that HighBet currently doesn’t have a dedicated mobile app, though its mobile site does works well.

I claimed HighBet’s sign-up deal of Bet £10 Get £20 in free bets. To qualify, I deposited with a debit card and placed a £10 bet at minimum odds of evens.
The £20 was split into two £10 UK free bet tokens – one for a football acca and one for a horse racing bet.
The free bets expired after three days, which was shorter than some sites, but still manageable. Compared to other free bet offers UK punters get, it’s a fair deal.
.While competitors like Betfred or BetUK sometimes give higher amounts, HighBet’s simplicity and clear terms worked well for me.
Bookmaker | Qualifying Bet | Free Bet Bonus |
---|---|---|
Bet £10 | Get £20 | |
Bet £10 | Get £50 | |
Bet £10 | Get £30 | |
Bet £5 | Get £20 | |
Bet £5 | Get £25 |
Promotion | Description |
---|---|
Odds Boosts | Daily boosted odds on selected sporting events. |
Acca Boosts | Extra winnings on successful football accumulators. |

HighBet covers around 35 different sports, and the depth is strong in areas like football, horse racing and Esports.
When I bet on football, I found between 150 and 200 pre-match markets available on Premier League fixtures, which is as many as you’ll find on any betting site.
Horse racing has it’s own dedicated section, with UK and Irish racing well represented. I noted live streaming was available on races through Racing TV, which added to my experience.
While the range of betting options on each race was more limited than at traditional horse racing betting sites, I could still place win, each-way and forecast bets easily.
Esports also stood out. I counted dozens of betting markets on a League of Legends tournament, and the coverage rivalled what I’d seen at Betway. For niche bettors, HighBet also offered political markets and entertainment bets, which not every bookmaker provides.
HighBet's bet builder could be used on 9 sports, including North American favourites MLB, NBA, NHL and NFL.
For a Champions League match, I was able to choose from 19 different markets for my bet builder.
I tested HighBet’s in-play betting during a Premier League match and found the site to be very sharp, even during live matches. Odds updated quickly, and bets placed without delay.
Market depth was reasonable, with around 60 live markets available on the games I followed. These included totals, handicaps, next goal and score-related props.
I also liked the in-play tracker, which displayed possession, shots and key incidents. While it wasn’t as detailed as it could be, it gave me enough information to make decisions.
Cash out was available across the football and tennis matches I tested, and the values felt fair compared to the live odds.
One limitation is the lack of live streaming outside horse racing. I couldn’t watch football or tennis directly on the site, which would have been a useful addition. Even so, the speed and reliability of the live betting tools meant I had a positive in-play experience overall.
HighBet’s website has a modern dark theme with bright highlights, making it easy to read and navigate. The full range of sports are listed clearly on the left-hand side, with markets in the centre and a simple betslip on the right.
I liked that the design wasn’t cluttered with too many banners – it let me focus on betting.
The site loaded quickly in my testing, even when browsing multiple live events at once. I also found features like one-click betting useful for fast in-play bets.
The ‘Prematch’ tab took a bit of getting used to initially, but it did allow me to track all the leagues and competitions I was interested in, across all sports
The ‘Trader’s Treble’ tab allowed me to quickly look at popular accumulators, with all ‘Odds Boosts’ also available to view in one place.
Payment Method | Minimum Deposit | Average Withdrawal Time |

Debit Cards | £10 | 2-5 working days |
PayPal | £10 | 1-2 Days |
Skrill | £10 | 1-2 Days |
Neteller | £10 | 1-2 Days |
Trustly | £10 | 2-4 Days |
MuchBetter | £10 | 2-4 Days |
Paysafecard | £10 | N/A |
Note: All deposits include a 2.5% fee, which is uncommon among UK betting sites.
HighBet doesn’t yet have a native app, so I had to test the mobile site on both iOS and Android browsers. The experience was smooth, with pages resizing well and menus easy to access via the sidebar.
I placed bets, deposited funds and even watched a horse race stream directly through my phone without issue.
The mobile site includes all the same features as desktop, including cash out and acca builder. While I would prefer a dedicated app with push notifications and fingerprint login, HighBet’s mobile site does the job well.
For punters looking for reliable UK betting apps alternatives, adding HighBet to the home screen works effectively as a shortcut. Until an app is developed, the mobile site provides a strong, fully functional way to bet on the go.
I contacted HighBet’s customer support twice – once through live chat and once by email.
The live chat was available 24/7, and I was connected within seconds to a chatbot, which quickly answered basic questions. When I asked to speak to an agent, I was transferred smoothly, and the representative was polite and helpful.
The email response took just under four hours, which is fairly quick compared to some other bookmakers. Both channels felt reliable, and I didn’t run into any unhelpful or generic answers.
Channel | Availability | My Experience |
---|---|---|
Live Chat | 24/7 | Connected in under a minute, helpful responses. |
24/7 | Thorough replies within 4 hours. |
HighBet has a full set of responsible gambling tools built into the account menu, and I found them easy to apply.
During registration I was encouraged to set deposit limits, and I later tested both a time-out and a reality check, both of which worked smoothly.
Tools available include:
HighBet has impressed me as a new betting site that already gets many fundamentals right. The site is user-friendly, odds are competitive, and the range of sports is broader than I expected – especially in football, racing and Esports.
I also liked the variety of promotions on offer, from acca boosts to cashback, which provided value during my betting.
The areas that could be improved are clear. HighBet doesn’t yet have a mobile app, and while the mobile site is strong, an app would give punters more convenience.
Similarly, live streaming is limited to horse racing, so fans of other sports will need to look elsewhere for that feature.
Even with those gaps, I found HighBet to be reliable and straightforward to use. I’d recommend it particularly to punters who value competitive odds, as well as those who enjoy football betting.

HighBet withdrawals vary by method. E-wallets such as PayPal, Skrill and Neteller usually arrive within 1–2 days. Debit card withdrawals typically take 2–5 working days. The fastest way is through live chat, available 24/7 directly on the site. I used it and connected within seconds to both a chatbot and a human agent. HighBet also provides an email option, which responded to my query within a few hours. These two channels covered everything I needed.
