BetMGM Casino Awards $650,000 Jackpot in Ontario
BetMGM Casino announced Thursday that it awarded a jackpot of $643,412.32 to a player in Ontario, marking the first major jackpot in the province.
“After many years of awarding record jackpot prizes in the States, BetMGM is thrilled to award its first major payout to a player in Ontario,” Matthew Sunderland, VP of Gaming, BetMGM, said in a statement.
“In 2021, BetMGM awarded the largest prize in U.S. online casino history. We’re proud of today’s announcement and look forward to many more years of providing mind-blowing jackpot prizes to Canadian players.”
BetMGM’s Products in Canada
The jackpot winner accomplished this feat by wagering just $1 on Viking Riches, an exclusive BetMGM title developed by Entain Win Studios.
Other exclusive BetMGM titles include MGM Grand Millions, Bison Fury, and Mirage Mega Magma.
BetMGM Casino came to Ontario in April, along with its BetMGM Sportsbook and BetMGM poker.
With this expansion, BetMGM still puts responsible gaming as its main key focus and provides resources “to help customers play responsibly including GameSense, an industry-leading program developed and licensed to MGM Resorts by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation.”
Players can access responsible gaming tools through both desktop and mobile platforms.
The BetMGM mobile app is available for download in Canada right now for both iOS and Android devices.
