The Cleveland Cavaliers visit Scotiabank Arena at 7:30 p.m. ET today to take on the Toronto Raptors in a game between teams jockeying for position in the NBA’s Eastern Conference.

This is the first of a four-game homestand for the Raptors, who have the Indiana Pacers on deck Saturday, then visits by playoff-bound teams the Minnesota Timberwolves and Boston Celtics.

Since Feb. 1, the Cavaliers have earned a 10-11 straight-up record but have produced a 9-12 against the spread mark. Their straight-up record ranks 17.

The Raptors have earned a 15-9 straight-up and a 14-10 against the spread record since Feb. 1, ranking fifth-best in the Association.

Currently, the Raptors would be matched up against the Brooklyn Nets, who should have Kyrie Irving back full time for the playoffs, in the Play-In Tournament game.

The Raptors have an urgency to win tonight and move into a tie with Cleveland with nine games remaining in the regular season. The Cavaliers have the tie-breaker, having already defeated the Raptors in their three previous meetings this season.

What Are the Situational Analytics Telling Us?

The Cavaliers and the Raptors have not played since Monday and have had two full. The Raptors are 20-16 straight-up and 19-17 against the spread when having the same number of days of rest as their opponent.

When playing at home and having the same number of days as their opponent, the Raptors have gone 10-10 straight-up and 9-11 against the spread, including a solid 12-7-1 Over-Under record this season.

When on the road and having the same number of rest as their host, the Cavs have a 12-8 straight-up record and against the spread, including a 10-10 Over-Under record this season.

A March Madness NBA Betting System

Betting on home favorites of 3.5 to 9.5 points in March going Under the total by a combined 35 or more points in total spanning their last five games has produced a solid 51-22 Under record, good for 70% winning bets over the last five seasons.

I am Betting Under the total, which is currently offered at 215 points on multiple sportsbooks.
