After falling in Game 1 of their American League Wild Card series with the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday, the Toronto Blue Jays don’t have a lot of time to re-group. Game 2 is scheduled for 4:38 p.m. ET on Wednesday in Minnesota.

Because it’s a best-of-three series, the season will be over for the Jays with another loss. That means Jays starter Jose Berrios, the former Twin, will have to perform well in the early innings to stay in the game.

If Berrios shows signs of struggling, like what happened with Kevin Gausman in yesterday’s 3-1 loss, Jays manager John Schneider will go the bullpen quickly.

The series winner faces the Houston Astros for the AL Division Series title.

Betting Odds

According to BetMGM Sportsbook, Berrios Over 14.5 outs (-135) is one of the most bet player props going into the game.

Berrios has had a solid season this year with a 11-12 record, a 3.65 ERA and 184 strikeouts. In his one game against the Twins this season — a 3-0 win — he tossed 5.2 innings, giving up just four hits, five walks and five strikeouts.

Twins starter Sonny Gray Over 4.5 strikeouts (1.95) and Under 1.5 walks (1.65) are two other popular player props for bettors.

The pregame moneyline reflects some uncertainty about Game 2.

At NorthStar Bets the Jays are at 2.18 and Twins are at 1.73,  with the runline at Jays +1.5 (1.53) and Twins -1.5 (2.55).

BetMGM has the moneyline at Jays 2.10 (42% of bets and 71% of handle) and Twins at 1.74.

And at PointsBet Canada, the moneyline is Jays 2.25, Twins 1.67. Also at PointsBet Canada, Bo Bichette 2+ hits (3.00) has the most prop bets.
